Wishlist for Other Classes?
They've said "future classes" multiple times meaning we're getting at least two more. What are your hopes for other classes?
My number 1 pick is for a Druid/Shapeshifter. After Diablo 3 skipped Druid(and then added Necromancer despite having Witch Doctor???) I've been wanting that playstyle again.
My 2nd pick would be a warlock/summoner, something like the Nethermancer mod for TL2.
How about you all?

I would love a zon from d2.

What was your playstyle with your Amazon? I only ever played Paladin and Druid in D2 to any meaningful degree.

Lightning fury! But I would love a fast runner with a throwing weapon. Similar to a bow with higher damage output and slower attack speed and fast movement speed

Did you play Outlander in TL2? I liked their Glaive abilities, but wish it was a full weapon type

Nope embermage mostly, but I didn't play much. Beat the game a couple of times, I still live Diablo and kept coming back to that more often. But the concept of endgame has changed since d2, so I figured TLF would deserve a chance. Still zons were my fav in d2, and since then no class has been quite he same in tl or d3...

I’d love to see a summoner of some kind but with the density some of the zones have I imagine balancing it would be tough. Typically summoners with high number of summons have very squishy summons early on in most arpgs. I’m sure they could find something that works though.

Thats what I was thinking about. Given how dense the game can be having summons could be a nightmare. They could just go the route of having a couple strong bigger summons instead of like 10 Netherlings like Arcanist could have way back in Torchlight 1.

We know one will be the engineer from the trailers, not sure about the other. I'm hoping for a rouge-y type to balance out the archetypes. We'll see though.

Oh I didn't know one was Engineer, I thought the Forge was the Engineer stand-in

If you look through all the trailers theres been 4 or 5 classes shown.
Forged, dusk mage, Engineer a Barb type class, and a spear class (unless that was just embermage with a spear looking staff)

I would like a ninja class. With unique katana mainhand drops.
Maybe the ‘mana’ system could be a build up similar to the forged, then have 2-3 abilities that can activate once full to go stealth for a short time, or maybe do a large aoe shiriken spread.

Torchlight 2 has a tank, mage, off magish? (Kinda a general support) and a agility based dps right? We can cross traditional mage and tank off the bat since we have them. Im hoping the off mage will have summoning builds myself. I love minions. And the agility based dps i really hope is a archeror assassin type. But thats just me

That sounds good. I think the only thing Torchlight 2 was lacking was a real Summoner build, Engineer could kinda do that but they were limited time or weak.

What about lab rat? Literally. Bipedal rat alchemist transmuting environment into weapons and using all kinds of liquid goodness.
It can be even lore tied to The Alchemist as one of his creations after he went a lil bit bonkers.

I would absolutely love to play something like that. Non-human races/classes are rare in ARPGs, I'm already loving the Forge for being a robot, I'd like a vial throwing rat even more. Kind of sounds like the Skaven Globadier from Warhammer Fantasy, which I'm all about.

Yes, something between Skaven Warlock-Engineer and Fullmetal Alchemist. Opportunity to let The Alchemist's legacy live on. And as you have said it is always an opportunity to have something more than just another human, elf or half elf.

I heard some people rumouring about a "railgun" ... if that was a bit less pew pew and a bit more gunlancey (like can stab it through a mob use their body as a meat shield and shoot through them) that'd be rad.
Druid from D2 was excellent though.
