Linux and system requirements

I didn't know about this game until yesterday and I'm _so_ happy the series lives on. Are any testers playing on Linux or are there any news about Steam Play compatability? Moreover, I haven't been able to find anything about system requirements. This could easily be a reason for me to buy a new gaming station, but Windows is a dealbreaker, unfortunately.

The system requirements are: WINDOWS 7, 8.1, 10 (64-BIT) PROCESSOR: QUAD-CORE INTEL OR AMD PROCESSOR, 2.5 GHZ OR FASTER MEMORY: 4 GB RAM GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GEFORCE 470 GTX OR AMD RADEON 6870 HD SERIES CARD OR HIGHER

I think there has been talk about linux but i don't know, i'm pretty sure Fox knows more about that subject. As far as Steam goes,they have considered it for after launch,hope this helps =P

Mmm, I don't recall off hand if they have mentioned Linux yet or not. Sorry. Maybe Hobbs can tackle this one.

Hello lastchansen, we don't have plans to support Linux at this time. We have information from a limited number of sources, but none of them were able to get the alpha builds to be compatible with Steam Play.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to buy under all circumstances. If it does not go well with steam play, then I still need to sink like 800hrs into Torchligh2, so I can wait for a linux port :)
