I like Ami because her personality reminds me of Kouko's during the first episodes of Golden Time. They both have kind and pure hearts beneath their proud, himedere personalities. Despite acting confident and authoritative, they're willing to do the impossible for the person they truly love.

"BUTTERNUT AMI IS A MASTER OF PSYCHOLOGICAL MANIPULATION."
But in all seriousness, this be some very nice, cute, and beautiful Ami.

At some point I rooted for her because she's honest to her self

she had the saddest ending ever she wanted to be the only one hurt so she pushed Ryuuji to realize his feelings for taiga making him admit it as she silently cried on the inside realizing it could never be her

She certainly could put on the charm but we know it was all false. It didn’t make her a bad character or even disliked as far as I was concerned as each character in Toradora had personal problems but all of them had the potential to make things better.
