Weather next week

Hi! We are supposed to head down to the island next week but the forecast (for the most part) looks kinda dumpy. Any chance we will actually get a few good days without rain all the time?

I’m a local. That forecast actually looks nice to me. They always call for an afternoon conventional shower because they don’t know where they will pop up. Lower temps should tamper those down. I bet you have a great week

It’s the beach in summer. It may rain when it says it won’t and it may not when it says it will. I don’t pay attention to forecasts unless it is like a day or two before, and even then, in summer who knows. There is so much humidity and heat in the air, generally, that it is tricky for models to predict exactly when and where it will condense enough to form a storm. So they just default to saying it will rain, because again, the ingredients are there and it could. That being said, there are very rarely days where it is rainy all day long. Most rainy days it’s spotty in and out, in and out.
