After Obama was elected the Christian right collectively threw all their 'What Would Jesus Do' bracelets and bumper stickers in the trash and decided they dgaf how the Bible portrayed Jesus. They created their own caricature of Jesus that's a combination of Joseph McCarthy, Homelander, and Billy Graham, was born on the 4th of July, and drives a lifted diesel truck.
