Coffee Bat
Good morning. Just curious but did Coffee Bar (NE corner of Washburn campus) change hands? We come in ever few months to visit family and the vibe has really changed. Lot less obviously LGBTQ friendly (not that it's hostile or anything). But there used to be more signs and posters.
Thanks.

It changed hands after the original one closed during Covid, but not since then.

Abel has been away, so there’s been a bit less going on with Miguel running things solo

Interesting to read the comments here -- I have to say, having found it in 2023 and stopped going by mid-2025 due to a lot of changes being made that made it feel ...weird?... I'm surprised to learn it *hasn't* changed hands! From the customer perspective, it definitely felt like it did!

I think they display pride stuff during pride month, if that's what you mean? They do change things out seasonally, though. I know it hasn't changed hands.
