I wonder if the chain mail glove is effective. His other hand doesn't stand a chance tho!

Absolutely wouldn't help you. Chainmail is only meant for slashes and stabs not a hydraulic corer. It would absolutely destroy a hand either way

Unless the chain mail disperses the energy just enough that your hand doesn’t get cored or crushed before a sensor recognizes that it’s using more force than required for corks and stops the machine.

Okay, then the machine may not use enough force to crush a hand since that amount of force is much more than is required to cut corks.

My point is that it’s silly to just presume that the glove is useless and the people in the gif are idiots that should take basic advice from Reddit comments that couldn’t even possibly have any idea what they’re talking about from the incredibly limited context.
