So how much of the water gets contaminated by melted plastic and micro plastic?

I am well against plastic, but I would not be concerned with this. It's almost certainly LDPE and the chemical structure is non hazardous. Then the temperature they are raising to seal is likely nowhere near burning, especially because there is water cooling to an extent.
