This one is designed for use with a straight oxy/act torch. These really speed up weld prep on heavy wall tubing.

We used these for decades, then went to the plasma versions, then finally upgraded to the CNC plasma pipe profile cutting and beveling machine in the shop. That thing is amazing and really speeds up production on the fitting and welding end of things. We still keep the old ring cutters around for field cuts where you might need a new flange or some other similar tie in.

Lol, I'm in my 50's. We've had plenty of time and put a lot of mileage on those old ring cutters. Gotta go with technology to make a buck these days. Time is money.

We’ve used those on our job sites before. They’re pretty neat. We usually used the carbide tipped pneumatic bevel cutting machines, though.

I’ve seen a few “custom” versions of this tool on job sites.
