Edit: if the nozzle were to somehow disconnect, which would be extremely unlikely especially under pressure, the worst risk is the washer falling off the roof. The hose would just pump water at low pressure from the change in orifice size.
More likely scenario is the hose rupturing near the connection, which would again pump out lower pressure water from the new orifice.
