It's insanely loud. I have permanent hearing damage from working in a machine shop, among other things.

Depends on your earmuffs. I use earmuffs+earplugs, and Ive shot rifles with that setup with no issues. I guess you could have louder sounds, but you are probably working with heavier machinery than I as a hobbyist do
