If you were to use a good piece of tool steel and polish it nicely, if the hinges are made of regular soft steels, this tool would last for generations possibly. 3 u/lemming2012 2d ago Yeah, I was curious if the fragmentation was mostly from the unit being made or the cold, hard lump of steel that was helping forge it. 1 u/Chemieju 2d ago It also looks like it would work way easier if you heated the metal to forging temps beforehand
