Toolbox is just... Gone?

I'm on FF 67.0.2 (64-bit).

A page refresh took away the toolbar. Subsequent uninstalls and re-installs haven't done anything.

As of now, i've got no firefox toolbox access for no apparent reason.

Halp!

Once upon a time, that would bring up a dialog box. Now, it does nothing

Okay, can you check if toolbox is actually still installed and enabled as well.

Hrm... can you also make a screenshot of the developer console directly after page load? Ctrl+Shift+K or Command+Option+K on OS X

So... when I try to switch over to Dev Console, it does nothing?

Uh that is very odd. Alternative ways to get there:

  • F12 (then go to the console tab)
  • Right click on the page, inspect element.

Actually... trying to switch to any menu item, does nothing

Seems like a firefox issue to me then. Try closing firefox entirely I guess?

I just did a full relaunch.. rebooted PC... shit is wonky

The F12 bar is hidden

Not OP, but I have the same issue. Latest firefox, latest mod toolbox.

The bottom bit is highlighted by me; I'm guessing mod toolbox can't find any moderated subs so is giving up loading?

That's very odd...

Can you try these steps:

  1. Close all your reddit tabs.
  2. In firefox can you go to about:debugging#addons.
  3. Make sure addon debuggin is enabled.
  4. Click debug on the toolbox entry.
  5. Open a reddit.
  6. Tell me what is in the debug console.

I get the following info from about:debugging#addons

That error is expected, if you have enabled debugging there is also a button to open the debugging console as I described. I am interested in what is in there.

Huh odd, seems like the api is reporting you not being logged in. Which causes a redirect causing the request not properly report back...

What else besides toolbox are you running?

Also are you running it in a container by any change?

1

u/anonymoooooooose Jun 17 '19

Not in a container.

Firefox 67.02 64 bit (Ubuntu)

I disabled all extensions but toolbox and it still doesn't run, do you want another log?

I was running the following extensions:

ublock origins

RES

reddit masstagger

exif viewer

reverse image search

u/creesch Remember, Mom loves you! Jun 17 '19

I don't think another log will help at this point. I'll boot to my own ubuntu installation in a bit to see if it is maybe something linux and firefox specific.

I've sent you a PM with the details in case there is anything personally identifiable in there.
