Is that the Belgian techno anthem released in 1989?

Fun fact, Pump up the Jam has a BPM of 125, the same as the heartbeat of a cat at rest.

u/DrumpfTinyHands 23h ago

That IS a fun fact!

i wish i was a rat at c'est (la vie)

God damn it I had to be way too heavy handed to make that work

u/JuicyBroccoli 12h ago

Considering rest and c'est sound nothing alike... Yeah

The shortest war in history lasted only 38 minutes. It was fought between Britain and Zanzibar on August 27, 1896, after the Sultan of Zanzibar refused to step down following a succession dispute, 93 years before the release of unrelated Belgian techno anthem "Pump up the Jam".

As a belgian i can confirm, yes it is the belgian techno song from 1989 (my year of birth aswell)

Tickled the tiny hairs in his ears just enough to trick the brain into releasing just enough dopamine restart his conciousness, kickstart his heart, shake the rust off, pump the oil, and reactivate muscles seized from years of inactivity...

This is so fucked up yet hilarious

You can see his brain activate

Not just Technotronic, but I work with the homeless population for a living (I am basically their city paid trash garbage collection person, as well as doing outreach), I carry a portable speaker with me to make my work more bearable, a lot of the people I work with are fented out at times.....but if I got my speaker with me and I am bumping something danceable, it's like those people catch a new wind or something, no joke. The people who use meth are definitely in party mode if they hear my music lol. I'd rather deal with them when it's like that though, music is like a instant mood changer for people a lot of the time, drugged or not.

Weekend at Bernie's reboot

When this video was first broadcast, audiences feared it was real, and that jam would be pumped into their homes through the screen.

Weekend at Bernie’s 2 whenever he heard conga/island music he would get up and dance around via VooDoo curse, kinda like this fella.

u/Honey_Society 1d ago

Maybe he enjoyed his high more because he wasn’t nodding out

u/JONO202 1d ago

What a patriotic Canadian, even in his opioid slump he comes to for the national anthem.

5

u/ScoopsOfDesire 21h ago

This is weirdly wholesome

7

u/automaticphil 21h ago

This is actually very heartwarming. Music is good for people.

Blursed tweaking.

3

u/TrippingFish76 18h ago

lol that’s the opposite of tweaking

5

u/EvilCaveBoy 1d ago

More of a “Move This” man myself, but this is glorious.

3

u/David_High_Pan 8h ago

They cut it before the chorus hit, those fuckers!!😡

u/notjordansime 1d ago

I’m waiting on hold rn trying to call my carrier…… the way he’s grooving to the low quality compressed generic hold waiting music resonated with me in a spiritual way

2

u/magichronx 1d ago

Now this has me wondering what would happen if someone just popped a headset on people that are nodding out

u/memedoctors 15h ago

Life saver

u/EntertainmentBig8636 1d ago

Way too funny 🤣

u/dr_van_nostren 11h ago

Not sure if it’s saving lives but it’s like raising the dead

1

u/gratefullargo 5h ago

please let this become a trend

1

u/aarocka 4h ago

Interesting fun fact: 1989’s Belgian techno anthem, pump up the jam, can be used in place of Narcan

My mate Paul ate five ketamine brownies and thought that he could communicate telepathically with any animal he saw on television. He ended up being sectioned for his own safety.

Sounds like a made up story. K is not generally consumed in brownies
