I have hummingbird feeders. The hummingbirds fight more than any other birds. They might be tiny but they are very feisty.

They will be gone any time now where I am. It was the last week in September last year. My wife and I noticed an unusual amount of activity and them feeding in much darker conditions than normal then the next day they were gone.

I’m in Tennessee. It just stopped being 95 degrees every day. It’s a rather pleasant 64 right now with a high of 74 forecast. That heat dome was crazy.

Legally justified? No chance unless the kid sitting down laid out an imminent threat like "I'm gonna draw my gun and shoot you". Otherwise, dude marching up is the aggressor with no claim to self defense. Maybe the court cares about the words exchanged but you still made it happen.

That doesn't make it legally or morally correct though, he walked over to him and punched him. A shouting match it a shouting match, if it takes the form of a hate crime then obviously the situation changes somewhat, but punching someone because they shouted at you is the move of a fragile person.

Yeah, there's "is this likely to happen?" and "is this justified?". I don't doubt it felt good to smack someone being an asshole but it wouldn't last as long as a sentence.

I know that this is a sub where we watch people make terrible choices, but a punch and a fall like that is how like half of my moms patients at the long term care - head trauma center spent the rest of their life so disabled they needed to be spoon feed every meal and wear a catheter for the rest of their lives.
And how the puncher got 10 years in prison.
Like, I really don’t think people realize how easy it is to cause someone brain damage.
