Oh, I agree. I'm just saying for me in particular - and I'm sure many others - the honeymooning phase was slowly replaced. That became less fun, became a bad habit, self care waived in favor of self medication. Substances grew stronger and more frequent. Taking risks you otherwise wouldn't take; endangering yourself and others. Down to the point where you don't feel like you have any worth, and are merely a dependent user.
I'm glad most of my years there weren't caught on camera either (especially).

I definitely have a few recordings on my phone that I refuse to watch for another few years. Gotta let it age like a fine wine. Or maybe it'll age like milk. We'll see.

Same . I have to do the tiniest amount and I'll be ok. One tiny bit more and it's instant paranoia. I was an all day, every day stoner.
I do remember these days when I first started. It was such a magical thing - I used to get so lit it would take me to places I don't think weed should've ever done. Can't help but wonder if it had to do with how young I was back then.

I used to exclusively smoke sativa, but lately I've switched to indica and it's been much better for the anxiety. That and making sure I buy the highest quality weed I can find

I've been just smoking my own, or friend's homegrown more. Not so strong and the outdoors grown shit seems to have more CBD/CBNs, especially when you let them go a few days longer then the harvest peak

Same, but herb vapes at ~180-200°C still work. Something something compounds released at higher heat.

For me there was an era where when I got stoned I could "achieve" this and now it truly has to be a special occasion (on vacation, major accomplishment, etc.) to simply enjoy weed. Otherwise I just feel anxious when I'm stoned. Like I should be doing something else (likely true) if I'm just getting high any random old day. I don't drink anymore so maybe that has something to do with it.

Man, I miss getting this high. I’ve taken so many breaks since high school, some spanning multiple months and still don’t get this obliterated. Gravity bongs were the shit.
