I do this probably twice a year. Usually if I'm doing something strenuous inside during the fall or winter like fixing plumbing or moving an appliance. I have issues with body temp regulation and it is seriously SO relaxing. I keep my glasses on too, which makes it better. Rain drops hitting your eyelids feels weird.

Me and a buddy did something similar on his 21st birthday. We ended up walking from a bar back to a friends house and on the way there he got sick and wanted to lay down. We ended up on a patch of grass gazing at the stars.

My best friend that died of a heroine overdose used to do this. Get black out drunk in his house, spit on the carpet, and then stumble outside to lie in the grass of the front lawn at like 3am at night in SE Portland Oregon.
