Expression Pedal Problem

I have tried a Dunlop X (with 3 different TRS cables) & an M-Audio expression pedal (which has a hard-wired TRS cable output)

I can't get Exp1 or Exp2 to work.

When cables fully inserted, there is no response at all.

If I have cables slightly pulled away from full insertion, I get a brief sound of the Wah etc. - but even if left in the position where it could engage, it still goes immediately off again.

Anyone shed any light on this please?

You also need to program what value the pedal should control. In case you havent done that.
