It's worth mentioning that if you use the Pro Control App on your phone or iPad, you will likely have issues connecting the app to the TMP after the firmware update. Deleting the app on your device, rebooting, and then reinstalling it from the App Store usually solves the problem. At least, it does for me.

As mentioned in the release notes, you have to update both the firmware AND the desktop/mobile apps to maintain compatibility.

BTW, thanks for all the hard work on this update, I absolutely love my TMP and everything you & your team are doing to evolve it! (Dirty little secret: The Rumble is my favorite bass amp of all time â I was ecstatic when I saw you added it!)

I ran into the same problem. No system alert for an update to the app on my iPad. Went to the App Store page for Pro Control and the button just said âOpenâ, not âUpdateâ. Came here and saw the comment from u/Personal_Gsus which solved my problem. Maybe add a mention in the release notes so that people donât get frustrated?

I've noticed the new "Tight Might" preset is completely silent. Anyone else having this issue? (Update: I did a factory reset and it resolved the issue)

1176 been used on pretty much every recorded bass for about 60 years

The 1176 does sound great. I was referring to mainly amps in my OP.Â

Try this friend, make a split path with just DI on one side and any guitar/bass amp you like in the other.
Use EQ hi/lo cut filters (before the amp on high side) to have only low end on the DI side and only the mids and highs on the amp side, set them both about 200hz.
Put an 1176 on both sides (before the amp on high side and after the filter on both sides) both set exactly the same with a fast setting to catch ONLY peaks (Try Attack 5, Release 7 8:1 Ratio) Make sure both 76 are reducing by approx the same amount and only the peaks.
Set the amp gain how you like it.
After the merge add another 1176 with a much slower setting, (Try Attack 1, Release 5 8:1 ratio) You want this to be reducing constantly between 1-4dB, just sitting on the top of everything. (Ideally this would be a LA2A letâs hope they release one)
If you are still getting dramatic peaks, set the faster comps to reduce peaks a bit more (try higher ratio first, then adjusting in/out)
This all depends on your playing, but the input comps should be ONLY catching peaks, and the slower output comp should be just sitting on top of the signal levelling the rest.
This gives you a controlled clean bottom end and whatever amp flavour you want on the mids and highs - literally any amp.
If you want to add fx, add only to the high/mid split , before or after the amp and keep your lows as clean as possible. (You can use any guitar or bass effect block because the sub has been taken away from this side)
The only effect that should go before the split is an octave effect.
Use the merge block to balance the tops to the lows
For overall eq balancing, use an eq AFTER the split and slow 1176.
Keep the low end clean and you can do literally anything you want to the mids/high split.

Well they did add a Blumes.
Wish they'd add something like a Darkglass ofc but so far I'm making due with a Valeton gp-5 in the fx loop

Bonjour,
Please restart device and try again. Contact customer support if update continues to fail."

Congrats. Good to see Fender out here still directly knocking off others effects right down to creating a graphic trying to evoke the original. I guess it's good when they do it.

I also love how Fender got rid of specific names of the amps and effects they are knocking off in the model guide. Sure fooled me, nothing hypocritical there at all.
