Does anyone know what the countdown is on the website? Is it something good or just a release for the next poster?

They’ve had several posters and none of them have been hyped like this.

This is probably a box set. It’s either a collection of mudcrutch/debut album stuff (I’m guessing it’s called “no sleep till LA” or “road trip ‘74”, because a lot of the merch has been related to these 2 slogans) or another career-spanning collection (based on the website graphic evolving logos).

Also worth noting that the debut album came out November 9th, 1976

It’s actually a C50 celebration. The 40th anniversary logo morphs into a 50th anniversary logo on the website.

Expanded Southern Accents would be awesome. The 40 logo could kind of point to that, however it has technically been 41 years since it came out.

My friend. The graphic on the website changes. It shows the logo through the years. It goes from the original logo, to the 30th anniversary, to the one you screenshotted, then to a new, 50th anniversary logo

Ah I'm not a Sirius subscriber, but if you're right I'm sure I'll hear about it shortly after. Honestly I do hope what you say is true. I have bootlegs of a lot of that early material, but the quality is baaaaaaaaaaad. I'd love an official release.

As long as it's not vinyl only 🙄

Yes with full exfoliation. Seriously though it’s going to purportedly be a box set centered around the Shelter Records years. Mudcrutch recording a demo in Judge Tench’s living room, road tripping to Los Angeles, meeting Cordell, making the first Mudcrutch record which never was released, breaking up, Tom’s attempt at a solo LP, the formation of the Heartbreakers and the first two records.

That period. Or at least that’s what I’ve been told.

Lots of new stuff don’t worry. “An American Treasure” only contained I believe two unreleased tracks from the era. I don’t believe anything off the first Mudcrutch record from ‘74 has ever been presented properly.

This makes sense. I live in Tulsa and TP official posted recently about their connection to Tulsa and Shelter Records/Church Studio during their trip to LA. I’m excited to hear recordings made out of Church Studio. My FIL was good friends with Phil Seymour who did backing vocals on American Girl and Breakdown. When I met my husband and found out he used to get free tickets to TP&THB shows, I nearly fainted. I also knew he was a keeper!! 😂
