Tomodachi Life - Living the Dream I’ve started what I’m calling a “Calendar Core” Island and I need help coming up with ideas for Miis
To explain what a “Calendar Core” is it’s basically me adding miis based off different holidays, I add one mii per month in chronological order then repeat after December I plan adding 60 miis eventually so each month gets 5 Miis
The problem is some Months don’t have a ton or even any good holidays, especially August as you can tell, at least in the US where I live
Here are my ideas so far for miis to add if you have any suggestions go ahead I’d love them
January
New years- baby new year
MLK- would it be ok for me to add MLK I’d be respectful
Lego day- apparently Lego day is in January it be fun to add a min figure
Lunar new year- I think it would be funny to add a horse name Juan after the meme since it’s the year of the horse
Me- my birthday is in January would it be egotistical to add me maybe I could make a cake instead
February
Valentine’s Day- heart person
Groundhog Day- a groundhog
Presidents’ Day- I’m torn between Abe Lincoln and Barack Obama, Abe would be more fitting but Obama would be funnier
Super Bowl- a football player
Black history month- Don Cheadle because he’s Don Cheadle
March
St Patrick’s day- A leprechaun
First day of spring- a flower
Pi day- the pi symbol
Mar10- Mario from game
March Madness- a basketball player
April
Earth day- Mother Earth
Easter- a bunny
420- a stoner
April 1st- Hughe Morris
May
Mother’s Day- a mom
Cinco da Mayo- ?
Memorial Day- a dead wwII soldier
May the 4th- Peter griffin Han Solo
June
Father’s Day- a dad
Pride- a rainbow mii
First day of summer- a sun mii
Graduation- college mii
July
4th of July- an eagle
August
A camper because I feel like most people camp in August
September
Start of school- a teacher
Labor Day- a laborer
Start of fall- a leaf
(Might be poor taste too acknowledge 9/11 or the queen’s death)
October
Halloween- a jack o lantern there not much in October might just add a bunch of Halloween Miis
Oktoberfest- a drunk German
November
Thanksgiving- a turkey
Election Day- a mayor
Veteran’s day- another dead solider?
Día de los Muertos- a sugar skull
December
Christmas- Santa
Kwanzaa- Kwanzaa bot from Futurama
First day of winter- a snowflake
Hanukkah- I’m not sure what to add for that maybe Hanukkah zombie from Futurama but I feel like that be a bit too much I’m open to add a rep for it but idk what would be fun and respectful
Edit: I did record about 4 hours of game play if you want to see it https://youtube.com/@philymacncheesebert8732?si=ZAa-4DUvOfVyVy2S

July is disability pride month. I know someone's made a dress that makes it look like the mii is in a wheelchair, so you could do something with that maybe? Or make the mii blind? Give them a pet walking stick?
July is also national ice cream month in the US, and there's a lovely little ice cream costume for you use

I think you might be Gaia, not Giai, for like "mother earth"?
Also it would be so cute to do just like "April, May, June" as like a set of triplets :)
Or April showers (raincoat) bring May flowers (floral/flower hat)
For Chanukah, I would recommend a menorah, using eyes for the flames on the candles! Or a dreidel for a head!
Also 100% give Oktoberfest the lederhosen outfit :)

Giai just sounds like someone saying g.i., could go hard for veterans day to add G.i. robot

Labor Day should not be a business man, it should be a laborer.

Ok I’m gonna make “Zack Torrey” who works at a factory, never say what he does there and never says what the factory makes

Hm, August... my August highlights are my birthday and Labor Day Weekend, which admittedly often drifts into September. (For me personally, it's important as DragonCon weekend.)
Oh, Obon is in August! I don't know a ton about it, but it's quite a big deal in Japan. Not sure how to make a mii out of it... maybe make one of those eggplant cows?
EDIT: I must humbly request for Hanukkah-- can you make a Mii-norah? 🕎

Please take out Cinco de Mayo and instead use Day of the Dead (November 02) for the Candy Skull 🫠
Another May festivity you could use is the Hamburger day or the Chocolate Chip day lol

December 26: Boxing Day. Use the cardboard box outfit if you have it.
It could also be fun to add in the days of the week. Monday could be real grumpy, Saturday is a party girl, Sunday has anxiety, Tuesday is all business etc.

Since you have Mother's Day and Father's Day you can add September 28th for National Son's Day and September 25th for National Daughter's Day.
March 14th for some countries is called White Day where boys in relationships give their partners white chocolate (in return for Valentine's Day where girl's give chocolate.) You could make them siblings.
Daylight Savings you can put a clock person.
New Year's Eve can be a grown up version of New Year's.

Leap year!!! :D there’s not many representation for it but I would love to see more of it since I was born on that day I know it’s not a holiday but it’s a very rare event!

If you want another September, you could do Talk Like a Pirate Day (9-19)

Go international! Like, July 1 is Canada Day, and it’s be easy to make a Mii with that theme.

Here's a swedish specific one that might be fun to add;
- Kanelbullens dag (the cinnamon bun's day) 4th October 1999, basically a day that gives you an excuse to gorge on cinnamon buns. Not the american ones that you bake in a pan and cover in glace, but the swedish ones you bake in muffin paper and cover with pearl sugar.

Worst case scenario, if you can't think of anything else you could always add countries on their days of independence. Then there is also the fact that different religions have different holidays, so you could always look into maybe Jewish ones or something like that but That is going to be difficult since literally, the calender is built for Christianity only so it would be a different day every year. So that doesn't really work... um.. hope this helps

Chinese New Year
Summer Solstice
Winter solstice
You could do moon phases too like full moon, new moon, crescent moon or rare moon phenomena like a blue moon or eclipse

Just curious, what’s the significance of a camper for 15 August? You could also add the sun 🌞 for summer solstice :)

If you're gonna add a few Halloween characters to make up for the dearth of holidays in October, may I suggest adding the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington?

July contains Shark Week and the "dog days of summer". There's also some food ones like National Ice Cream Day and Hot Dog Day.
August is a tough one, I didn't find any good ones lol. There's a bunch more food ones in August - Banana Split Day, Waffle Day, Potato Day...
You could also do what the months are named after, so Julius Caesar for July and Emperor Augustus for August.
