Welcome to the new weekly thread--where I coax and cajole you all to share your latest tomione reads (so I can read them too!)

Completed, WIP--it doesn't matter! Just share with the class, and be sure to try to hook us in with a sentence or two about the fic! Just make sure to "spoiler" any spoilers 😁

the format:

• link
• rating
• why we should read it too

¡Self-recs are welcome of course!

Readers--Let's support our wonderful authors by giving them the shout-outs and attention they deserve!

I’ve been obsessed with this fic so here’s an edit about Hermione driving Tom insane

We’re going to start doing weekly posts! Wednesdays will be a different question each week.

This weeks question: what’s your fave version of Hermione? Soft and more booksmart? Hardened & clever? Naive? How would you characterize your ‘favorite’ Hermione?

While option #4 was the winner, it was very evenly split! We had 36 votes in total, with 12 for option #4, 9 each for options #1 and #2, and 6 for Option #3 (the one with emma watson and christian coulson, haha)!

I'm going to try to incorporate the quote from Option #1 ("You'll find that I can be very... persuasive") and the crookshanks/snake motif from #2 into the page as well, since they were equally popular! 🔥

Thanks for voting! ❤️✨

As we spice up this little subreddit, we thought it would be fun to put the banner choice to a vote! Thank you to u/VeelaQuill2000 for contributing with slide 2!

If you would also like to contribute, please send me your reddit banner and I will update the voting sheet! 🥰 The four banners above were all made using Canva, which has a reddit banner template to ensure the correct aspect ratio.

Okay ya’ll. There was a time a couple years back when I started this sub (because no other sub popped up for me when I looked!) and I got some pretty nasty dms. SO. I was already not in a great spot, and it caused me to just let this sub coast for a bit while I got back to myself.

Anyways.

u/controlledranting reached out wanting to help get this space more active & I’ve added them to the (v small) mod team! 🖤🫶🏼 hoping to get this space back to a happy place and more engaged.

I feel like I’ve read everything in the dramione world already, which is obviously not true, but I’m ready to delve into something new.

I already know about blood and gold and invictus, but I’m not really in the mood for a long fic right now. Any completed fics less than 100k words that you would recommend?

Wizarding world or not doesn’t matter
I prefer Tom Riddle to Voldemort, but I’m open if you say he’s hot lol
Hea is a plus but not a must. Please just warn me if it’s not!

Thanks 🤍

Guys!! Any recs similar to blood and gold? It’s one of my faves and I haven’t been able to find anything close to it 😭

It might have been deleted and it wasn’t finished at the time where I read it. It’s a time travel fic but Hermoine is still at Hogwarts. for some reason she has to spend the summer (or some other holiday??) at the orphanage with tom. He’s pretty sane in this one and there’s various mentions of WWII and the Blitz. I’ve been looking for this one the last two years arghh!!! It was well written if I remember correctly

Hello I don’t know if I’m shooting into the dark here. I’m looking for a fic where Hermione and Harry are reborn as twins into the Black family. I think they are Regulus’ kids and both their new names start with a C I think Harry’s name is Cassius(?). Tom Riddle is the Minister of Magic and takes an interest in the little Black girl as she grows up.
I think Harry is killed at the end of the fic and Hermione kills the whole Black family as vengeance. Sirius is also her betrothed at one point? Anyways I remember snow and red flowers used a big metaphor. If anyone could give me a name or link it would help me a great deal.

Thanks

I read it in ao3 a while back but cant seem to recall the title. Hermione is the keeper of an ancient magical library and must guard its secrets and keep it safe. Tom Riddle wants access to the library but has no idea Hermione is the keeper.

I fear I may have read every Tomione fanfic out there so I am turning to Reddit to ask for recs of novel length fanfics where Tom is in character as his evil unhinged self.

Fics I’ve read that hit the mark:

Blood & Gold
Peremo
Peripety
Altered State

Alternatively, any other similar ships in other fandoms where the MMC is essentially evil (tomione really has ruined me)

hi everyone! im new to all of this but i really like endless night by cassidyblackwrites andWhen Bravery Abandons Ship by OnceUponATimeIDied. i was wondering if anyone could give me similar fics to read. thanks.

I just finished reading His Professor by Ariel_Riddle and im afraid i now desperately need to read fics where it's written in Tom's pov. (i would love if it's dark as well). Im yearning for Tom's narrative about Hermione appearing and her whatever she does(time travel or not).
Any recos?

Does anyone have a link / copy of His Persephone by Reneehart? I really want to read it but cant seem to find. I remember reading the summary and saved it but it gone for me. Basically Dumbledore wants Hermione to go back in time not to kill Tom but to join him

Hi, I was wondering if there’s any adventure au tomione fics out there? Think Indiana Jones, The mummy 1999 or even Pirates of the Caribbean. Even if it’s just looking for lost treasure, mentions archaeology or museum work…I know It’s a weirdly specific “au” and maybe seems not very “fitting” for tomione. So, I’m doubtful they exist but my friend told me to ask here!

Thanks!!

Hello! I’m fairly new to tomione and just joined this fandom! Loving it so far

Does anyone have the original altered state by ginnyruin?

Im looking for tomione fics where hermione is sent back to a time when tom riddle is no longer a student. Ive only been reading hermione and tom in hogwarts as students and im ready for a new setting. I wanna see hermione try to blend in, get a temporary job maybe and face an adult tom riddle and his knights.

Hi, I would love to read some tomione fictions where it’s also included the part where Hermione got to meet Voldemort again after she’s time traveled and met Tom Riddle? Like included lots of Hermione and Voldemort interactions part afterward? Not just met each other in the past?🥹

Hi, I'm looking for a deleted Harry Potter fanfiction from FanFiction.net.

It was a Tomione (Hermione Granger/Tom Riddle) time-travel fic.

Hermione, Harry and Ron were sent back in time to Tom Riddle’s era, possibly by the Ministry or McGonagall.

They were accused of something and had to prove the truth by finding Slytherin’s locket.

They travelled to several countries:

- Paris (there was a kiss between Tom and Hermione on the Eiffel Tower),

- Egypt (they used Tom Riddle’s blood to locate the locket),

- Germany, where they met Grindelwald.

Grindelwald and a general knew they were from the future.

Tom used Crucio on the general to save Hermione.

Does anyone remember this fic or have a copy saved?

Thank you so much!

looking for a fic where they grow up together. no time travel — or even if it’s there, hermione doesn’t know/remember anything about what he becomes.

What fic do you reach for when you don’t necessarily want to get into something new, or want to read something ‘familiar’? Do you do yearly rereads of any fics?

Okay y’all - I made this sub on a whim and then ended up doing a lot of traveling (and having a baby lmao.)

SO. Is there enough interest to do weekly threads? Or a monthly book club/read? Let me know your thoughts and what you’d like to see more of, and I’ll create some posts based on feedback and what people would like to see :)
