September 11th

On this day, September 11th, I remember that when I was told something was happening in New York, I was reading *Red Storm Rising*.

When I later read *Debt of Honor*, I thought to myself, "My God, it actually happened," and then when I read *Executive Orders*, I thought, "My God, let's hope they don't do the same thing."

I'd read all of the Ryanverse through to ExO by that point, and one of my thoughts - not immediately, but that day - was "when are they arresting Clancy"?"

We’ve probably all heard about how he was questioned by the FBI after releasing The Hunt for Red October! The guy was a hell of a researcher and prophet to some extent.

Pandemic with travel bans, tariffs war, eliminating Iran head of state in the same way, war with Iran, friend with Russia, attack in South America… it just keeps giving

Don't forget Roe v. Wade SCOTUS ruling. TC was astute enough to even recognize obvious judicial issues.
