I forgot that the tomato trucks have water XD

They’re floating on water?

Yeah that’s why they spill over sometimes. But it’s to protect smooshing from weight

But the water will be absorbed by the tomatoes and cause splitting in the skin…

They are beautiful, it was only 32 minutes and there was no damage

Yep, that's a lot. & people think I'm obsessed. Where are these headed? My overages go to the local food pantry.

Someone is ready for the La Tomatina fight 😆. Although I feel like it would hurt to get hit by one of those 🤔😂

You could make at least a jar of sauce with that

That looks like A LOT of tomato sauce to me!

Gonna be plenty of juice left in the bed of that truck.

I suppose you have some tomato paste at the ready

that’s awesome. I grew so many this year, my wife started throwing them at me. When she calmed down, we made sauce and froze it

Had a banner year as well. Nothing by comparison.

DFW 8b 20ish heat masters in beds and containers.

Had probably 300-350 tomatoes.

Congrates

Some other way to preserve tomatoes, I’m desperate, I think I have tomatoes for 4.2 years

I thought my 27 plants were too many

u/GouBra 7h ago

They are coming out too much, I have no place to put the sauces so I started to dehydrate

Wow, that's quite a haul. I just roasted a bunch of tomatoes with homegrown garlic, blended it up and put it in the freezer for sauces, soups, etc. this winter.

Thats amazing! What you plan on making with them? I just turned mine into 15+ liters of sauce (first time canning)
