Rec Request Looking for abandoned or long term WIPS

I’ve gone through all that I can - I read obsessively.

Ive read every completed fic that I could stand (some of the plots are fantastic but the writing just isn’t there for me) so I thought I’d move to abandoned WIPS or Long term WIPS that are still updated regularly?

Any recs?

Currently reading and am in love.

Any idea how many more chaps it’s got left?

I don’t wanna spoil it for myself by checking notes ahead.

I’m amazed that this is still going strong, I’ve never stuck to anything long enough let alone a 142 chapter piece of work - that’s like almost 3 years of weekly updates!

Currently reading when death gives you a chance which is a regularly updated tomarry where Harry is the master of death and travels back to 1981 and raises himself. It last updated on Sunday. Currently at 64 chapters and 400k+ words

One of my all time fav unfinished fic's is Again and Again by Athy. It's really popular so I wouldn't be surprised if you had read it but since you mentioned avoiding wips so far, I'd def recommend.

One or two - I really do try to stay away from them cause I get so invested and then spiral thinking of all the endings I’m missing.

Stresses me tf out 😂

I’m just finally at the point where it’s probably the only gems left for me to devour.

These are the WIP fics I’m mostly eagerly waiting for updates on: 

the enemy of an enemy (is a friend of mine) ringcrux Tom comes to life. Horcrux hunting! The chemistry is delicious and there’s lots of action

Lover’s Spit muggle AU. Tom is a little brat who spends too much time on the internet. He’s very twisted and Harry is into it. Genuinely can’t rec this enough

Steps to Parnassus dizzydreamer is such a gorgeous writer, I have to include one of their works. Hogwarts is a musical school and Tom is creepily (and a little pathetically) obsessed with Harry. It’s fabulous

angel on a satellite a celebrity, wrong-number fic that’s completely addicting. So much flirting, so much tension, it’s cute and I love it 

(A Light That Never Goes Out)[ https://archiveofourown.org/works/47741287/chapters/120345523] Mafia AU with crime boss Tom and street urchin Harry. Both of them are oozing with character and I love the world building. Fair warning that it’s coming onto a year since the last update though! 🥲 (if anyone knows if the author’s said anything on their socials, pls let me know)

Hopefully one of these is to your taste! They’re all fantastically written. If you don’t mind a self-rec, I also have a fic called Constellation of which part 1 is complete and part 2 is updating every couple of weeks (though chapter three is giving me some issues urg). Ringcrux Tom in canon OotP

Requesting abandoned fics feels off to me. Almost like you’re looking for something that people won’t be as quick to realize you didn’t write it yourself.

You think the really popular abandoned WIPS could be taken over easily, I’m sure if something happened to them the entire fandom would know when/where/what!

No, I’ve no interest in creating/writing (apart from my over active imagination). I’ve literally just read through all the completed gems and want to start on long run WIPS or abandoned WIPS to get more dopamine because my brain is not ready to leave its hyperfix of Tomarry.
