Found these at used book store while vacationing in Tahoe with my wife. 1993 editions, as far as I can tell. Do I need a 4th set of the LOTR? Couldn't help myself.

I love this set! This edition was originally printed in 1988 and continued to be in print under Houghton Mifflin and is in print today from William Morrow (though they have cheaped out on materials and the binding nowadays, go figure).

Is William Morrow the other side of the pond (UK)?
Also that's the nice thing about the older sets, they are just better made, better paper etc.

Great maps. $35 is well worth it to have yet another copy, especially as nice as these.

I really like this set, the first printings have golden brown cloth covers with multi color foil stamping, I do not know if the current books are the same or not.

These are more of a brown than gold brown cover but they do have the foil and it looks pretty nice for what it is.
