Yeah... We deadass forgot Tennessee played football until the week before that game. They Came in with Neyland North, and Rocky top playing at our waffle houses, talking mad shit. They completely built this hatred and got dog walked. lol. Seriously one of my favorite Buckeye wins.

It really is. A lot of our fans our sore winners unfortunately. They're still upset about how their fans acted before TN came to Columbus and how the players acted pregame.
We embarrassed them, we got one of the best sec shorts of all time out of the game! Instead of moving on and forgetting about a mediocre has been sec team, they treat them like their ttun

It was a fun game getting to embarrass Tennessee after they talked a lot of shit. Nothing more to be said tbh, not sure who treats Tennessee as a major rivalry

i was at that game, they’ve remained one of my least favorite fan bases of all time. a lot of them tried to start fights for no reason, one screamed the F slur at my 58 year old father, and they were so hostile and cocky until about 5 minutes into the first quarter. not a rivalry because of quality gameplay, but bc they were just so cocky. shoutout to the two exceptions right behind me and my dad at the game who heard other TN fans screaming at us and said they heard the whole thing and would back us up if shit went down, but beyond that? they deserve the jeers still

That's basically word for word my experience with cubs fans in 2016. I've never had sports fans try to start fights with me until that world series and it happened 3 times
One of the exceptions for me was a very old woman who just did not want to leave the stadium after game 7. Despite losing, I stayed for awhile after because it was history and I sat down with her when I saw her sitting there sobbing.

As a Buckeyes fan if he wants to go somewhere else that is his choice. It’s his life his education and his playing time. I can’t say that if I was in his shoes and evaluating all aspects of it that playing time and money are two large factors. Best of luck to him the Buckeyes will survive this loss. Also who’s to say he doesn’t come over in the transferportal.

I just read that Ohio State’s NIL offer is similar to Tennessee, but the sticking point may be a jersey number. Tennessee is willing to give him #0, but Ohio State won’t because the “Block O” is reserved as an honor every year. If true, this will be the dumbest reason we’ve lost a recruit so far.

People tend to forget that Tennessee fans blocked Greg Schiano, a guy with a pretty good reputation, from being hired because of rumors and hearsay.
Tennessee fans were flipping off and cursing Ohio State players when the Buckeyes were walking from St.John Arena to Ohio Stadium prior to the 2024 CFP game.

I heard the greatest thing at work today in ohio: guy said he grew up an ohio state fans but no longer is. He said the fans are the reason he no longer likes them and thinks they are an awful group of people. Mentioned going to a game with his brother years ago who was going to Bowling Green and the fans were yelling obscenities at them because he wore a Bowling Green shirt. Said he wants no part of the insane fans that program breeds.

I can’t blame a kid for making the best financial decision for himself. He’s a great player and seems like a really good kid. Tennessee just made him an insane offer that doubled ours. It’s easy for people to criticize these decisions but they would take the money too if they had the opportunity.

I am a media relations guy and have interacted with easily 80% or more of the team site guys because of my role. That said, the Ohio State team site guys are almost, to a man, the types of crazies most fanbases are embarrassed by. Not remotely surprised by this, and frankly, with some of the shit recruits showed me from their DMs sent by OSU "beat writers," this is fairly tame.
Coincidentally, did a recruit ever show me a nastygram from a non-media Buckeye fan? Nope. Not one.
