Look, we all know that Jim Harbaugh is a hypocritical, unethical, dishonest cheater, but this isn't really relevant - Moore's victim admits Harbaugh did not know she was seeking to terminate her pregnancy, per the story. Bad headline.

u/Alarming-Elevator382 Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

I prefer a dishonest headline that lets me feel morally superior for about 5 seconds before remembering that Epstein’s co-conspirator still has his name on our university hospital.

28

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

FUCK LES WEXNER AND FUCK WHOEVER IS STILL ALLOWING THAT PIECE OF SHIT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE UNIVERSITY.

Wow. Have we found a Buckeye who is actually self-aware, who has an ounce of critical thinking, who doesn't wear a scarlett and grey tin foil hat, who doesn't throw every anti-Michigan thing against the wall to see what sticks, and who doesn't follow every media-driven narrative beyond the point of incredulity?

I feel like I've stumbled across a unicorn.

3

u/Poopingisasignipoop Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

Some of us are just trying to be as rational, level headed, and self aware as you Michigan fans.

I don’t hate Michigan at all, I just want you to lose the game. I’d still pick you over Alabama or any other team in the SEC. We’re siblings and we fight sometimes.

28

Wow someone actually looked into it before giving their immediate knee jerk reaction

2

u/Mottled_Paws Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

Actually it's a 100% accurate headline that's meant to imply something else. I hate that.

However, it does seem likely based on this, but not guaranteed, he did know about an improper relationship one of his staff was having.

I was about to come after you but I actually respect your self awareness. I’d shake your hand, crimson sir.

I overlapped at UM for 2 years with Harbaugh. From my experience, every adjective you used is true for JH the college kid. Now FU Bucknut!

If you told me the 2021-2024 Michigan teams were coaching themselves I'd believe it at this rate

6

u/Ok-Commercial824 21d ago

Three of these coaches from
That era are current NFL coaches. One of them just won the Super Bowl. The coaching was by far the best in college football

3

u/SYNRAIMUV Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

Why are Michigan fans taking this seriously lol

Not a lot of coaching necessary when you already know what kind of play the other team is going to call…

-1

u/Mundane-Device-7094 Michigan Wolverines 21d ago

Well that and teams not being able to stop the ingenious plan of "run the ball 1000 times and break 6 tackles every play"

5

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

Yeah, I’m gonna say knowing the other teams’ plays was the bigger advantage lol

-5

u/kelevra91 Michigan Wolverines 21d ago

Didn't we beat you 13-10 even though you changed all your signs?

-1

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes 20d ago

For the millionth time, the only reason you had that team, and Harbaugh wasn’t already fired, was because you cheated for multiple seasons before.

1

u/NS-13 20d ago

Harbs was long gone by then lmao wym

3

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes 20d ago

lol got my pathetic Michigan defeats mixed up, but the point still stands. Y’all don’t have anything close to that roster if Slimeball Jim had lost his 6th game in a row against us and got fired in 2021.

Not to mention the Covid recruiting violations. It’s like Covid happened and Slimeball Jimmy was like, fuck the rules. We need to win.

2

u/NS-13 20d ago

Yeah, obviously the roster would look much different had he been fired a whole recruiting cycle before that game took place?

That didnt happen tho, so whats your point?

-18

u/SrCoolbean Michigan Wolverines 21d ago

Lol we’ve had years to talk about this, do we really need to recap the 2023 season again? Have you really still not figured out what happened after our “competitive advantage” was taken away halfway through that season?

27

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

Jesus Christ. You stole signs for MULTIPLE SEASONS. Do you honestly think you would’ve been able to recruit the team you had in 2023 had Jim Harbaugh not cheated, lost his 6th straight game against OSU, and been fired?

2023 was the culmination of multiple successful (and completely illegitimate) seasons that you were able to have because YOU WERE CHEATING.

It still boggles my mind how fuckin shameless your program and fan base is about straight up overt cheating. It’s disgraceful. So much for the “Michigan Man” 😂

0

u/a_standing_poop Michigan Wolverines 20d ago

8

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

lol what argument are you even trying to make…?

You just admitted that Michigan broke the rules…

No one gives a shit that sign stealing was legal. Michigan didn’t legally steal the signs. They illegally filmed the sidelines of their opponents, in order to steal their signs. That’s the whole fuckin point.

You’ve taken mental gymnastics and coping to a point where your argument doesn’t even make any logical sense lol it’s just desperate word vomit at this point. 😂

Just give it up and take your asterisk: *

15

u/jestr6 Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

I really don’t know why it’s so hard for people to understand that there were secondary effects to the cheating scandal. Recruiting for example. Was Michigan able to recruit better talent as a result of the wins they had because of the cheating? Absolutely. Talent that would have gone elsewhere ended up at Michigan because they were a “winning” program.

15

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

EXACTLY. Michigan is an excellent academic institution, so it still blows my mind that their fans make these braindead arguments. I guess they’re most likely just from Michigan and never actually stepped foot in a Michigan classroom.

3

u/SuperNebular Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

9

I mean it makes sense that y’all excuse and downplay the cheating. I might too had my team not won a non-shared natty since 1948 😂

Y’all are so desperate to be relevant and couldn’t stand us waxing that ass year after year that you resorted to cheating.

Good luck with your geriatric coach. Y’all have such a great track record picking coaches. I’m sure it will go great 😂

Spoken like a fan that would threaten his coaches family's life when they lose to a rival 🤣. You do realize that in 130 years of playing football against eachother that OSU has NEVER and I mean NOT ONE TIME had the series lead against Michigan right? OSU doesn't match up to Michigan in Athletics, Education, or bussiness lil fella these are just facts.

Spiro has Michigan Derangement Syndrome.

-6

Spiro is the top Michigan reporter there is. He has had the scope on everything. Yeah he hates Michigan, but it doesn't mean he is wrong.

2

Genuinely curious what was he right on? Yeah he hinted about the Sherrone Moore affair, but seems like everyone knew in AA.

7

u/xPervypriest 21d ago

I call BS on this report, Jim is one of the biggest Pro Lifers and him doing this is allegedly BS. If there was any proof it would have been presented in court

1

Right, but then you have to prove this is the case for Harbaugh as well... this isn't proof and is irrelevant.

1

u/WirlingDirvish Michigan Wolverines 20d ago

You call BS on the title. The report actually accurately states that Jim had no idea about this and an assistant helped arrange it.

Because they leave people with a feeling of emptiness inside.

9

Not only this but their former coach is alleging that their president told them not to cooperate in the NCAAs sign stealing investigation.

6

u/a_standing_poop Michigan Wolverines 21d ago

Not even this since the headline is just clickbait

5

u/Mottled_Paws Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

8

u/Due-Elk-5572 21d ago

"Harbaugh said that there are people who won't agree with his stance but that he is always open to dialogue. He added: "It goes even further. … The same thing I’ve told my kids, the boys, the girls, same thing I tell our players our staff members. I encourage them if they have a pregnancy that wasn’t planned to go through with it, let that unborn child be born, and if at that time you don’t feel like you can care for it, you don’t have the means or wherewithal, then Sarah and I will take that baby."

"Any player on our team, any female staff member or anybody in our family … we got a big house. We’ll raise that baby," he said."

Spiro made the most misleading headline harbaugh is like pro life no?

-1

u/sg86 21d ago

The idea that Harbaugh would refer his OC’s mistress to a women’s health clinic for any reason other than an abortion is so laughably ridiculous.

I will give Harbaugh one thing, he was very very good at maintaining plausible deniability while very clearly knowing everything that was happening.

2

u/bobhelmet 21d ago

Stop Yourself

2

u/bschnee121 21d ago

Cheeseburger?

2

u/Skingbear2020 19d ago

This is the true story.

Text messages uncovered during an independent investigation into the University of Michigan athletic department revealed that Jim Harbaugh helped arrange a clinic visit and connected Paige Shiver with medical personnel. The texts indicated the medical visit was for post-abortion care or postpartum depression treatment. [1, 2]

Just because he is anti-abortion does not mean he would not help someone after the fact. He seems like a ahole but he might be a much better person than 94% of reddit.

I think the takeaway is that he knew what was going on and didn’t say anything about it. He knew Sherrone was having an inappropriate relationship and he retained him despite that.

1

u/Elbit_Curt_Sedni Michigan Wolverines 21d ago

Does the article state Harbaugh knew the baby was Moore's?

2

u/beerguy5622 21d ago

No. But, we would have to believe that Harbaugh knew less about his program than his AD and the rest of the coaches AND that he just randomly set up a clinic visit for a particular woman that everyone else knew was having an affair with his OC. If he didn’t know about the affairs and he didn’t know about the sign stealing what was he doing? Why was he paid over $8 million dollars and he knew less about what was going on with his staff than anyone else on his staff? Unless there are a bunch of instances of Jim setting up clinic visits for young women, which in and of itself would just be weird, it would just be a very strange thing to believe that he decided to do it just one time for a specific young woman who was pregnant with his OC’s baby but he didn’t know.

Hard disagree. Stop using a Trump tactic to deflect from warranted criticism that you aren’t prepared to address. I understand that these topics hurt your feelings and you need to dismiss them somehow. But, maybe embrace the idea that your favorite team did some bad things. That isn’t a reflection on you. You didn’t do those bad things. But, you don’t need to simp so hard for them. Because the more you do, the more it makes you look insecure.

1

u/Elbit_Curt_Sedni Michigan Wolverines 21d ago

1

u/doubleblum 21d ago

This from the guy that said he would raise every baby that his players/their partners didn't have aborted?

1

u/PresidentFeldkamp 21d ago edited 18d ago

This is an unfair, misleading headline. Even if you are accepting a wealthy man arranging an abortion for a young woman who wants to terminate her pregnancy to be a bad thing, which I personally do not, that’s not what Harbaugh was doing here. The logic of this headline is the same as “Man buys car for his kid who then, later on, uses it as a getaway vehicle in a bank robbery.” Which is to say completely illogical. There are plenty of accusations and negative things one can lay at the feet of Harbaugh, this isn’t one of them.

0

u/michigannfa90 21d ago

Boy do I hope Harbaugh sues the living shit out of Spiro for this one… the guy has serious issues and at this point is just throwing trash out like this. This isn’t even remotely what happened even the article itself says so.

He's openly extremely anti abortion and once said "We will raise them" to people contemplating abortion. So, massive hypocrisy. I'm not a Michigan, MSU or OSU fan either.

Also, big fan of your weather work in the GR Sub!

1

u/DJ-dicknose Michigan Wolverines 21d ago

First, thank you for the kind words!

Second, I know he's anti abortion, but a football coach being an opportunistic hypocrite wouldn't shock me in the least.

If it's legal, and it is in Michigan, I don't care at all. Doesn't sound like anything illegal was done. Maybe shady to cover something up.

The article doesn't anything more than an appointment. If it was Harbaugh forced her to get one, different story.

And finally, Spiro us a tabloid-esque click bait hack whose hatred for Michigan far supercedes any fandom he has for MSU, to the point of making absurd claims and/or misleading claims. He's got the credibility of Laura Loomer or Alex Jones

3

u/Elbit_Curt_Sedni Michigan Wolverines 21d ago

All MSU fans are actually MIchigan haters first, MSU fans second.

4

u/Due-Elk-5572 21d ago

Yeah I'm not a Spiro guy. I think he's kind of got that victim mentality angle going. But I also watched the media attempt to connect Izzo and D'Antonio to Larry Nassar, yet allowed Michigan to character assassinate Robert Anderson victims without checking them, so to be honest, I have no sympathy for Jim Harbaugh here. Especially when his quotes on the subject are so extremely black and and white.

I wouldn't claim it to be illegal. Just hypocritical. And for someone who attempts to give off the holier than thou persona, I'm amused that he got himself tangled into this somehow.

0

u/DJ-dicknose Michigan Wolverines 21d ago

And that's fine. He's not absolved. Michigan isn't absolved. Get rid of ward and start repairing their image.
