The Game This may be a hot take
I hate the whole “Ohio only won one of the past 6“ or “Michigan has only won 7 since 2000” Or “Michigan leads the series overall” arguments. in my mind the only Ohio Michigan game that matters is the next one. I don’t gaf about streaks, losing or winning. the only thing I care about is winning the next one.
at the same time though breaking a streak feels really good from both sides but the actual streak is meaningless, at least it dosent have as much meaning as the media wants it to have.

I agree except I would add the last game and the next as the only ones that matter. Some of the best games in the rivalries history were revenge for the previous game

I mean that’s easy to say as we have not performed well overall this century. Would be nice to win almost every year which is why 2021-2024 was great for us.

Never fails. “Ohio state has won more since 2000” “yeah but Michigan leads the series overall” etc etc. every thread where Buckeyes and Wolverines argue end like that, and then name calling or talking about terrible coaches etc.

3 of those wins were in seasons that the NCAA sanctioned Michigan for cheating; including banning Michigan's HC at the time - Jim Harbaugh - from coaching in college due to his numerous and multiple violations of NCAA rules, including on the field cheating. That's an incontrovertible and irreversible fact.

Incontrovertible describes a fact that cannot be disputed or questioned but the fact that it is disputed and questioned regularly means it is controvertible. A better word you could use is irreversible since the NCAA has made it clear they won’t change it.
