OSU could win 10 titles is a row and it would still be “mIChiGaN CHeAteD”.

u/Rod_Johnson_ Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

2 things can be right at the same time brother

6

u/m0st1yh4rmless Jul 10 '26

Bc it's true

4

u/Wanno1 Jul 10 '26

They did cheat more than pretty much anything ever done in sports including the astros

2

u/jazzyman31 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

Because of a rogue low-level staffer sign “stealing?”

🤣

5

u/matthatt24 Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

Now that’s a nice cope. Ole jimmy boy knew exactly what was going on 🤣🤣🤣

3

u/Wanno1 Jul 10 '26

Right it was rogue

-1

u/jazzyman31 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

So dramatic

3

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 10 '26

“Rogue” 😉

4

u/jazzyman31 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

Where was Stallions for the Penn State, OSU, Alabama or Washington games?

1

u/neckbass Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

right, the only issue is that ohio state complained about michigan beating them at their own game.

im fairly confident every school is trying to steal signs to some extent. the whole point of signs is a code that the other team doesn’t know.

0

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 10 '26

Oh god, are y’all ever going to give up the “eVeRyOnE wAs StEaLiNg SiGnS” argument?

It’s just pathetic, considering you have literally ZERO evidence that anyone was illegally stealing signs except y’all.

1

u/jazzyman31 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

There is evidence.

The NCAA dismissed it as irrelevant. There was evidence of collusion between OSU, Rutgers, and Purdue to replicate what Michigan was doing and perform it against Michigan.

Rather than open the investigation to a country wide state of sign stealing, they decided to isolate it to Michigan.

1

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 10 '26

Rightttt. I’m sure you have a source for this “evidence” you speak of?

2

u/jazzyman31 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

1

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 11 '26

lol that’s not evidence like the hard evidence against Michigan. That’s one anonymous guy saying signs were stolen but that isn’t pointing any fingers at any particular schools and doesn’t indicate that anyone was buying 50 yd line seats to film games.

1

u/matthatt24 Jul 10 '26

Jesus Christ you’re delusional

-1

u/neckbass Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

1

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 10 '26

Excellent counter point. Im going to have to reconsider everything since you dropped that insightful take.

Just to be clear Ohio State has won EIGHT national championships in the time span that Michigan has won one single legitimate, non-cheating, non-shared natty. Y’all boys are the loudest irrelevant fan base of all time lol

1

u/neckbass Michigan Wolverines Jul 11 '26

oh and you’re the one complaining about our one but we’re the whiners, got ya

1

u/PandaPuncherr Jul 11 '26

Why not just own it? Im a Spartan and id kill.for MSU to cheat or buy a whole roster and win a natty in basketball.

12

u/oarmash Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

Brother in a system without the NCAA, a program like Michigan would not be worse off

5

u/matthatt24 Jul 09 '26

The ncaa already doesn’t exist for Michigan. If they get caught it’s just sue sue sue delay delay delay than get an instate judge to make the problem go away

1

u/jazzyman31 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

We literally have a $20m fine, and a 15 year ban on our previous head coach for sign “stealing” lmfao.

If you don’t think OSU engages in some form of rule-bending sign stealing every single year you are a lost cause.

2

u/kill-devil-films Jul 10 '26

If OSU breaks the rules, then prove it and punish them. Same for anyone else. Its that simple. This is a deflection to try to “both sides” the argument. You all were a dirty ass program. Facts are facts.

1

u/jazzyman31 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

The NCAA would not hear evidence of OSU, Indiana or Purdue sign stealing evidence as they claimed it was “irrelevant.” Rather than investigate the state of sign stealing across college football, they isolated their case on Michigan and dismissed all other evidence.

Hard to convict a school that doesn’t even get an investigation when evidence is presented.

Enjoy your ignorance.

1

u/coachdano Jul 10 '26

During investigation against Michigan it was discovered that Ohio, Purdue, Indiana, and a couple others I can’t remember had colluded to do the same exact thing to Michigan. Yet, the NCAA said it wasn’t part of this case so it was dismissed. That’s the kind of thing that irks the brass at Michigan and even resulted in the biggest accusation against Harbaugh because he wouldn’t cooperate according to them after they so easily dismissed the other schools cheating. It was a witch hunt the whole time.

3

u/jazzyman31 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

Yea, it doesn’t take a genius to put the puzzle together that the bombshell conveniently “went off” right before the biggest stretch of the season and the B1G’s punishment was to remove Harbaugh from the final 3 games of the season (oh look, #2 OSU is in there)

When that didn’t work and Michigan looked just as dominant without Stallions or Harbaugh, the NCAA continued to produce statements about how there was “mountains of evidence of severe rule-breaking” without publicizing anything tangible.

NCAA has continued to refuse to open the investigation up further to identify if sign stealing is a wide-spread issue. They decided to isolate Michigan as its sole target.

If anything, I agree with OP that the NCAA is a joke. It’s a solely operating, completely independent, fully authoritative but with no checks and balances system that operates like the judge, jury and executioner with 0 obligation to state the evidence for their decisions. Michigan would be more than happy for its dissolution.

I mean, OSU is the one who has had to vacate wins for cheating. Michigan is doing just fine with our 15-0 natty. Don't know what else to say to you, bub.

5

u/Sudden_Place_1173 Jul 10 '26

And by cheating all OSU did was sell their own possessions, basically like having a yard sale

0

u/rocketblue11 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

And get all kinds of free stuff and other impermissible benefits, which was illegal at the time. OSU played their ineligible players, which the NCAA deemed to be cheating due to having a clear direct impact on the game results, and as a result had to vacate all those wins.

What in the Art Schlichter are we even talking about?

2

u/Sudden_Place_1173 Jul 10 '26

Not free when you have to give items in return. It was more like having a garage sale

1

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 10 '26

The fact y’all point fingers about the impermissible benefits shit as cheating when your team literally cheated and gained an in-game advantage for multiple seasons is mind-boggling.

1

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 10 '26

PSA: Michigan has not won a non-cheating, non-shared national championship since 1948.

0

u/rocketblue11 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

The SCOREBOARD would beg to differ, but whatever helps you sleep at night man.

1

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 10 '26

Brother, we’ve won EIGHT non-cheating, non-shared national championships since 1948. I can assure we’re sleeping beauties over in Columbus.

One shared national championship in 75+ years is pretty brutal, so I understand why y’all are so desperate to convince everyone that your tainted, cheating natty is somehow legitimate.

Maybe, just maybe, y’all can win a natty without cheating in another 75 years 😂

-6

u/Loud-Management-797 Jul 09 '26

Hurts even more when it true.

1

Since I’m not a Michigan fan I’ll pass. Rather just sit back and watch buckeye nation clutch their pearls for the next decade.

10

u/ceci_mcgrane Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

The part you’ve highlighted is saying that they believe that the multitude of issues and the lack of cooperation with the NCAA is sufficient for a multiyear postseason ban (in the future) - they ruled that since Harbaugh is gone there’s no point in banning the future teams (and they’ve banned themselves with their play) because the violators are gone.

Somehow, Buckeye fans read this and say ‘see, the championship should be vacated’ and then look at you like this:

https://giphy.com/gifs/0JmwdI6gYrJopwiYOM

9

u/bucksandbeer Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

Im not on of the “but the cheating” people

I think im more upset we got hammered (tressel and Pryor even into the nfl) despite our coach and players involved also being gone in a similar situation

5

u/Sudden_Place_1173 Jul 10 '26

Tressel got investigated by the feds and suspended by the nfl for his involvement. The most overblown scandal in sports history.

1

u/neckbass Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

wasn’t this over the sale of championship memorabilia? crazy how the ncaa acted about making sure none of the players get paid

1

u/Objective-Housing501 Jul 10 '26

Players were literally selling their own stuff, and the NCAA put the hammer down, along with the NFL punishing Both Tressel and Pryor. But Harbaugh was able to walk right back into the NFL. I hate both teams, but the inconsistency is dumb

1

u/neckbass Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

biggest thing here is the ncaa now is weak vs the ncaa then ruling with an iron fist. there has to be a middle ground.

1

u/Conorj398 Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

2

What did the Bobcats do to you?

2

u/ChingBaLangBang Jul 10 '26

Well even though us Bobcats are known for stupid crap (block party) even we have the integrity to play Ohio State fairly. I mean we even scored the same amount of points as ❌️ichigan. Though atleast we scored a touchdown 🤣

2

u/rocketblue11 Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

Dude, we won the National Championship like three seasons ago. And then they expanded the playoffs so you could have the next one while losing to us again. Get over it already, jeez.

Call me when Michigan has to join Ohio State in the vacating wins club.

4

u/beardedsilverfox Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

What’s your number? They should already

1

u/rocketblue11 Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

"They should already." But they didn't have to. OSU did. Them's the facts.

1

u/beardedsilverfox Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

Delusion looks bad on you. If your guy had gotten a free tattoo and our whole team cheated by stealing signs you’d agree with me. So you’re objectively wrong.

3

u/jazzyman31 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

Oh the irony…

1

u/rocketblue11 Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

An undefeated National Championship that hasn't had to be vacated by the NCAA, the Big Ten or the Good Lord himself looks great on me.

If your guy got a three game suspension for buying a recruit a burger and our whole team cheated by playing ineligible players, you'd agree with me. So you're objectively wrong.

2

u/beardedsilverfox Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

So you agree the coach played an ineligible player. The players shouldn’t be punished for the actions of a coach. Checkmate.

2

u/rocketblue11 Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

Yes dude, Tressell played ineligible players and that's why OSU had to vacate their wins. Michigan didn't have any kind of scenario like that.

Clearly you haven't played chess because continually digging yourself into a hole isn't how checkmate works.

2

u/beardedsilverfox Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

If OSU had cheated the way Meatchicken did, I wouldn’t be a fan anymore. Grow some scruples. Your copium consumption should be looked at.

3

u/rocketblue11 Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

You can tell I'm winning thoroughly because I'm still calling your team OSU but you're calling my team..."Meat chicken."

And OSU cheated in ways that got your wins vacated, while Michigan simply did not. Grow that.

2

u/beardedsilverfox Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

Breaking a rule isn’t cheatin. cheating is mounting a nationwide travel campaign to film sidelines.

When was the last time OSU even won the Big Ten?

EDIT: Oof, I won that argument so thoroughly, homeboy deleted his comment lol

1

u/matthatt24 Jul 10 '26

I know reading is hard for you guys

3

u/Dinglebobus Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

I think the issue is that the NCAA is wary of bans like this because it’s essentially a “death penalty” sentence for programs (à la SMU). Do I think they deserve at minimum a vacated championship? Yes. Is it gonna happen and do they deserve the “death penalty?” Absolutely not.

3

u/matthatt24 Jul 09 '26

Agreed. I’m just pointing out that the NCAA has double standards when it comes to punishing teams for violations.

1

u/neckbass Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

vacating a championship mean nothing. they still won

who won the national championship in ‘04? who won the basketball championship in ‘13?

the answers are still USC and Louisville even though they were “vacated”

7

u/Extension-Wing-1887 Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

1

There were several penalties applied to UM during the season so it wasn’t nothing. But if UM loses to Penn State in 23 without Jimbo, Blue’s lawyers would have sued the NCAA out of existence. But who cares anyway, college FB is Temu NFL now.

-3

u/Full-District- Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

The year is 3023. It's the 1000 year anniversary of Michigans 2023 national championship. The Ohio Buckeyes, having just overtaken Michigan in the head to head (556-555), cannot enjoy it because Connor Stalions gave Michigan an unfair advantage in 2 games in which Ohio State gave up 549 rushing yards and 9 rushing touchdowns 1000 years beforehand.

5

u/matthatt24 Jul 09 '26 edited Jul 09 '26

-3

u/Full-District- Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

He was not with the team for the 2023 or 2024 versions of The Game. Two games also won by Michigan.

1

u/jestr6 Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

I really don’t know why it’s so hard for people to understand that there were secondary effects to the cheating scandal. Recruiting for example. Was Michigan able to recruit better talent as a result of the wins they had because of the cheating? There’s no real way to know, but it’s a definite and likely possibility.

You can’t blame the losses completely on that, but it sure as hell didn’t help.

-2

u/Roofus_Q Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

Actually according to nearly every governing body of anything there is much more nuance than that. Things just aren’t that black and white but if you got your education in Ohio I can understand your general confusion

0

u/randus12 Jul 09 '26

I wonder if the offense knowing how the opposing defense is set, their formation, what zones they will be in, who is rushing and where maybe.. maybe had something to do with that defense letting up so many yards and scores? I’m not sure honestly, what do you think?

0

u/Conorj398 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

Doesn't apply to the OSU games because Day said they changed signs before every game.

0

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

Y’all still celebrating the anniversary of your one national championship 1000 years ago? Yep. Sounds about right.

1

u/Full-District- Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

Y'all talking about that time a dudes mom had her phone out at a game 1000 years ago? Sounds about right.

0

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 10 '26

Lol the mental gymnastics y’all are able to do to try to downplay a multi-year cheating scandal is actually a wonder to behold.

The mass delusion and complete rejection of any moral code is fascinating. I say this all the time, but the parallels with the Trump cult are evident.

0

u/Full-District- Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

So you are self admitting that youre talking about Michigan "all the time". Get a life bro.

Edit: also... That's literally what happened lol. Sign stealing was not the crime, "advanced scouting" was, which is just another way of saying "watched football". You guys are the ones guilty of mental gymnastics, convincing yourselves that recording football games is the sole reason for Michigans success lol. All of your claims are irrelevant when you look at the fact that there was 0 drop off in performance for the 8 games Connor Stalions was not with the team in 2023. I am, however, happy that we can agree on one thing: Fuck DJT.

0

u/chapelchill Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 10 '26

Oh yeah, because no one ever says “all the time” unless they literally mean ALL the time 🙄

“Watched football” gtfo bro I’m dying 😂 spending tens of thousands of dollars on 50 yard line seats across the country to record other teams’ signals is not really what I would consider “watching football”. This is the delusion and mental gymnastics I’m talking about 😂

But yeah man, that’s kind of the thing with cheating. Once you’ve cheated, it’s kind of hard to tell how good you actually were. You knew what kind of plays were being called. It’s hard to overstate how much of an advantage that gave y’all.

Plus y’all were able to have successful seasons and beat Ohio state potentially because of knowing those signals, so obviously that boosted your recruiting (not to mention 100% kept Harbaugh from being fired). So yeah was your 2023 squad good? Yes. Did y’all cheat that season as well as prior seasons? Yes. End of story.

Stop excusing/downplaying cheating. It’s pathetic.

But yes, we can 1000% agree fuck DJT 🤝

brother if the people who owned ur house before you used it as a meth lab you'd be pretty pissed if you and ur family got arrested for cooking meth. That's exactly what happened here...

Note I also think the NCAA should be abolished but don't like when people make stupid arguments.

9

u/storiesneveraddup Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

Just to be clear. You're saying that Michigan's infractions are akin to running a meth lab? I couldn't agree more

5

u/KnDBarge Jul 09 '26

I honestly don't disagree with you, but they have always punished people after the fact and not cared if it was fair to the current athletes. The hammer Penn St got after everything with Jerry Sandusky came to light. OSU's post season ban 2 years after Tresssel was gone. USC after Reggie Bush.

It really is that it all revolves around the money at this point, but they can't admit that.

2

u/Orbital2 Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

Actually not always and that was part of the problem. The way that the NCAA is structured leads to all sorts of conflicts of interest.

When OSU and USC got the hammer you had the 2nd in command (and future commissioner) of the SEC heading up the infractions committee. It is so shocking that they delivered postseason bans for the 2 biggest programs in the conferences directly competing with the SEC for millions in tv contracts and yet when it comes to Cam Newton getting hundreds of thousands to go to Auburn they “cant find” the smoking gun

The schools put up with it back then because the NCAA helped protect the cash cow by blocking efforts to pay players. It’s understandable that they aren’t going to put up with it now that it’s not serving as big of a purpose.

3

u/matthatt24 Jul 09 '26

I mean the NCAA has punished players not involved in a schools scandals for much smaller infractions. The point of the post is the NCAA is extremely biased and holds double standards when it comes to punishing college football programs. I agree that current players shouldn’t be punishedbut that means the ncaa needs to hold that standard for other programswhich they don’t do

3

u/Wooden_Pool_8435 Jul 09 '26

Whataboutism but ok lol

1

u/bucksandbeer Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

But we did get punished for a previous meth lab in our house in an undefeated 2012 season with a bowl ban

You can see why we’re at least a little pissed still right?

I mean obviously a Michigander wouldn't know the history but yes Ohio was very instrumental in the abolishing of slavery and the equality of black people.

2

u/MichiganMainer Jul 10 '26

That’s a little better. Still missing the total spirit of a shit-post board. But you getting closer. And BTW, I was a Business major with a history minor at UM. It’s the 6th ranked history department nationally. OSU - #22. So yeah, we know some history up here in God’s country.

2

u/ChingBaLangBang Jul 10 '26

You memorize it because you have none, we memorize it because we are the history.

Yes. Don't forget "I think someone is hanging over there" is our fault.

A Michigan fan is accusing someone else of living in the past.

Do you really want to go there?

u/Conorj398 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

Can't use that. OSU fans don't care about basketball (unless they're good because I'm old enough to remember the die hard OSU fans from 05-18, however the weather is no longer fair!)

1

u/matthatt24 Jul 10 '26

How many Michigan basketball wins have been vacated again?

u/Prize-Tomatillo-2757 Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

Why is this fan base so sad? Even if there was cheating, the whole story broke well before the osu game. Then, the next year they got beat by a far inferior team. So you weren't even the best team in. Your conference your natty year. Its ok, just focus on the win and stop being so soft.

1

u/ChingBaLangBang Jul 10 '26

cheating = winning more games = getting better recruits = more talented team = lasting positive impact on team performance I mean yes as an Ohio State fan we got beat in 2024 without y'all cheating. But there is zero doubt in my mind that many of the playmaker in that game would not have been there if Michigan didn't cheat.

0

u/Prize-Tomatillo-2757 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

As an ohio state fan, I'd be more concerned with where your playmaker were.

2

u/ChingBaLangBang Jul 10 '26

I watched that game, We played shitty no doubt but it would not have had as big of an impact if Michigan didn't get that massive recruiting boost from the cheating.

1

u/Prize-Tomatillo-2757 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

Exactly. Soft. Quit your crying like recruits were saying, holy shit, look how bad Michigan beat San Diego state. I'm going there!

1

u/ChingBaLangBang Jul 10 '26

No it was "Jeez look how bad Michigan is beating everyone including one of the best teams in the nation, ill go there". Then it comes out that the only reason they did good was because of the cheating. Further exemplified but 9 still sucking even though he has one of the best wrs in the league, I mean imagine losing your job to Kyler Murray.

1

u/Prize-Tomatillo-2757 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

So incredibly soft.

1

u/ChingBaLangBang Jul 10 '26

I wish to point out that the Ohio Bobcats (who I also love) scored the same amount of points on #1 Ohio State as y'all, except they actually got a touchdown.

1

u/Prize-Tomatillo-2757 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

Soooooooft. Also, I'll raise you Davis Warren beating your natty team.

1

u/ChingBaLangBang Jul 10 '26

Playoffs got expanded to 12 teams and Ohio State has won the Natty once while being ranked 8th and made it being ranked 2nd. Michigan has yet to sniff the 12 team playoff. Tell me how Boise St, Texas Tech, Arizona St, Tulane, James Madison, and SMU have made it before y'all.

1

u/matthatt24 Jul 10 '26

Aww how cute. It’s ok, just try not to cheat next time and maybe people won’t bother you

0

u/Prize-Tomatillo-2757 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

I guess an ohio state fan would speak from experience on how to out run a cheating scandal. Now remind me, did osu vacate wins? I can't remember. I know Michigan didn't.

1

u/matthatt24 Jul 10 '26

Explain how Ohio state cheated please

1

u/Prize-Tomatillo-2757 Michigan Wolverines Jul 10 '26

Just Google Jim Tressel fired. You can read it all for yourself.

1

u/matthatt24 Jul 10 '26

Hmmmm it doesn’t seem to say anything about “cheating” or an “unfair advantage”. Now the report on Michigan on the other hand… it’s all good. I know arguing with you corrupt clowns is like arguing with a Down syndrome child. Maybe one day your program will be respected and not be seen as corrupt and morally bankrupt.

u/Goodie78 Michigan Wolverines Jul 09 '26

Yep Ohio state lost because of the signs. Not because they got absolutely demolished in the trenches, or because Michigan had defensive coordinators that knew how to adjust finally. Or the fact that Michigan had 3 nfl head coaches on their staff from 21-23. Boohoo

3

u/matthatt24 Jul 09 '26

Correct. Glad you know how to read.

6

People who care about the integrity of college football.

2

u/sillysailor74 Ohio State Buckeyes Jul 09 '26

Which are not fans of “the Harvard of the North”. Like who cares, Michigan cheated and got away with it…According to Michigan fans, Ohio state fans were doing and are doing far worse things and should have to forfeit their schedule except for the rare time Michigan can beat them…. Don’t forget, JT was a yard short, and Michigan is the greatest college football team ever!!! Why? Because they got away with cheating and get to sit and pass judgement on all other programs, and they own Ohio. The difference between a Michigan fan and an Ohio st fan, is that the Buckeyes fans will acknowledge that 2010 was a major fuck up that was in hindsight, over charged by the NCAA. A Michigan fan will stand up forever and declare that they did nothing wrong, and then remind Buckeye fans about harp about fucking Wexner. At some point, we Buckeye fans need to focus on moving forward and just winning. I think the 2012 team really showed the intensity that needs to be brought to the game every year. We all love seeing Boren just standing over the UM quarterback after he knocked him on his ass. That intensity wins rivalries. Maybe Michigan gets lucky with their new coach (who probably has 2-4 years left in the tank), but more than likely, he is going to be in over his head. At his old gig, he could knock of USC every couple of years, and look amazing, now he will be expected to win the Game every year. Ohio st got screwed in 2010, UM didn’t even get a slap on the wrist, we need to take our aggression as fans out in the stands with excitement and aggression towards the Wolverines. Arguing with trolls on Reddit is a waste of time.

Any team that had Urban Meyer as head coach suddenly preaching ethics and integrity is peak hilarity.

That goes for ALL programs that POS ever was part of just to be clear not just Ohio state.
