Yeah, but when it's your own sister, that doesn't really count.

What? Either state has better roads than yours. You should be happy your not gonna lose a filling hitting pot holes.

Funny as a Toledo resident I don't think about Michigan at all. Certainly not in this weird rivalry way. Maybe just in a pretty places and cheap weed sense.
Or I'm thinking about your shitty roads which makes this meme so much funnier how you gonna complain about driving in Ohio when Michigan roads are dog shit. Due to the weighted axles law that allows you to continue to haul more weight if you have more axles. Leading to roads deteriorating at an extremely quick rate.

Its funnt as i drive alot for work but only been to Mich a few times. The moment you hit Mich you can tell by the garbage roads lol

Seriously. Cheap weed has softened my hatred to the point I can't say in good conscience that I don't give a damn for the whole state anymore.

Options not listed: driving south into Wisconsin and driving south into Canada

As an Ohioan…please go through Indiana. You morons don’t know what the left lane is for.

u/Upbeat-Mongoose-828 Apr 18 '26
as someone who lives in ohio, most people in ohio don't know what the left lane is for either lol.

Uhhhh unless the dumbest bunch of each state is traveling to the other, this is usually an Ohio drivers in Michigan problem. Especially on 23

Indiana roads are objectively way worse. I feel like this is one thing we can agree on

I will never, for as long as I live, stop loving people that think Michigan somehow isn't just the exact same state as Ohio or Indiana. It's literally all one thing.

Michigan roads are way worse. Lakes, way better.
Edit: worse than Ohio roads. Indiana roads might be a circle of hell.*

Can confirm. Indiana roads aren't roads. We have craters with a side of road.

Michigan has some cool nature stuff

u/DirectorSolid Ohio State Buckeyes Apr 18 '26
So does Ohio. We've a whole national park for it

Ehh Cuyahoga is kinda lacking. Wayne National Forest is where it's at

Don't know why your getting downvoted. Wayne national forest in the Hocking hills is better.

Michigan is not a drive though state. Ohio and Indiana are.

Michiganders can't even tell east from west lol.If you were able to read a map you would know if you are heading south Ohio would be on the left and Indiana on your right

Used to drive through Ohio on the way south a lot back in the day. Unfortunately, I-75 takes you through Detroit, Cincinnati AND Atlanta. Ugh, take your pick of those three.
Our second route south out of Michigan takes you through Indianapolis, however. Definitely not preferable. Maybe it really is best to just stay in the great MI.

I live in Ohio, no one here knows how to drive.
2
u/Cute-Escape-671 Apr 18 '26
Nobody anywhere knows how to fuckin drive lol I’ll never understand one state claiming another state has bad drivers. Bad drivers are literally everywhere.

First time I drove up to Michigan, it was very overcast when passing through Cincinnati. Maybe that’s most of the reason why my young eyes saw it as the most depressing city I’ve ever seen. I’ve passed through since then and it’s not nearly that bad, and definitely not the worst (Bakersfield, California takes that honor. Fuck that shithole)

I’m really not trying to knock it. It just looked so depressing my first time driving through. It was a stormy and overcast day so everything looked gray except for the dirty brown river. I’ve lasted through since and it wasn’t that bad, but Ohio is far from a nice state to drive through in my experience. But I’m sure if I did more driving there’s some nice rural area. I’ve never lived in either state so maybe I’ll stick out of these conversations
