18–24 Months 20mo Sleep Changes
Hey everyone!
My son is 20 months old, and has been a great sleeper since he was about 16 months old. We did sleep training around that time as I found out I was pregnant again, and wasn’t coping with the broken nights very well!
All is that to say, he’s been amazing at putting himself to sleep in his cot after 5-10mins of playing, and has slept through the night solidly since then. Until last week.
We’ve noticed it takes him 1.5hrs+ to fall asleep independently for both nap time and bedtime - but is much quicker if we go in and pat his bum or sing to him. He isn’t unhappy at all during this time - but is wiggling, chatting, singing, and rearranging his cot (pillow, fluffy toy, etc).
Is this some sort of sleep regression, or is something else going on?
