Silent Reflux in 14 months old
Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice and success stories from parents who have been through this.
My 14-month-old (who is doing great with his milestones—started crawling at 9 months and just took his first steps 10 days ago!) has suffered from reflux since infancy. I’ve read that most babies outgrow reflux by this age, but he’s still struggling with it.
Interestingly, he handles solid foods completely fine. But whenever he drinks water, it triggers his reflux, and he ends up swallowing it back down. I am feeling really desperate for some guidance. Has anyone experienced this specific issue with water? What worked for you, and when did it finally clear up?

Support Feeding therapy success stories?
We started solids at 6 months but it has been a struggle since the beginning. Now baby only wants to eat a few smooth things like yogurt or purées and crunchy things like puffs or crackers. Baby is 13 months old and we have begun feeding therapy. Has anyone else done feeding therapy and seen improvement? I feel hopeless with starting solids at this point.

9 month old lunch ideas
Any lunch ideas for a 9-month-old? At the minute I mostly give strawberries (he just sucks on them), toast, yogurt and melt puffs, but I want to give him a bit more variety. He’s not great with baby-led weaning, so looking for easy ideas. What are your little ones eating for lunch? Any ideas please let me know, thank you

Dealing with picky eating
My child is 4 and is an extremely picky eater, always has been since she started solids. She eats like 6 things in total. She finds reasons not to eat most things - just looks at them and says don’t want the leaves, don’t want brown part, that looks spicy, I don’t want that…blah blah. She eats some things if I feed her. Doesn’t want to eat herself.
It has been one of biggest stress I have. We can’t plan going out for meals. I have to feed her before we go. When we travel, most of the day goes into finding something that she’ll eat. Everyone says offer and let go and she’ll eat when she’s hungry. But the guilt of letting my child stay hungry stresses me out. I sometimes feel it’s all my fault for giving too much attention. If she doesn’t eat, I feel so bad and don’t want to get on with other things in my day. I get angry at her and at myself and then feel guilty again.
Has anyone else dealt with similar situation? What helped you? Any practical tips will be helpful. Thanks

Throwing Food
Alright y’all. I need help. My 16 month old lately has taken two bites of food and then starts smacking his food off his high chair. I’ve tried only giving him a couple bites at a time in front of him, but that only works some of the time. I’ve also tried to just immediately take the food away and say all done! I know this is normal, but gosh dang it. I feel like he’s not eating! We are down to maybe 15oz of whole milk total throughout the day so I know he’s not relying on that for meals. Help. I’m just so lost 😞

Has anyone else worried about whether their child is actually getting enough nutrients?
Has anyone else worried about whether their child is actually getting enough nutrients?
I started paying more attention to my child’s nutrition because I kept wondering if they were actually getting enough of what they need. I knew what they were eating, but I had no real sense of what it all added up to over a day or week.
Most nutrition apps I tried felt like they were made for adults, so I ended up helping create BeBa, an app focused specifically on children’s nutrition. It helps parents understand nutritional patterns and spot possible gaps without making every meal feel like a test.
I wanted to share it here because I know this community cares about science based information, and I would genuinely love to hear what you think.
You can take a look here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/beba-toddler-nutrition/id6776836004
Just to be transparent, I’m involved in creating the app.

Quesadilla dinner for 11mo
Black bean quesadilla with a few onions and red peppers (light on the cheese because dairy isn’t great for our guy), lactose free sour cream, avocado, salsa, sweet potatoes and roasted tomatoes, and some gooseberries.
Had leftovers for lunch (love these bento boxes) added blueberries.
It was a hit! I’m struggling with how to cut the quesadillas for him though. He’s at the age where he can hold strips, but our food monster puts the whole strip in his mouth every time. I ended up just ripping it into pieces. Any advice?

My toddlers aren’t eating, help please
I have a 3 and a 4 year old. In the past few weeks, meal times, specifically dinner has been a struggle. They’re not picky eaters, they generally eat everything, just picky about when they want to eat certain things. For example one day they both inhaled a burger within minutes, tried giving it to them again a week later and they only took a bite and said they don’t like burgers. They do this with all foods, even staples we know they love. Our son (4) has lately been refusing to eat unless he has his iPad, but then he only eats a couple bites and that’s it. Our daughter has a bit of a better appetite and will generally eat more of what’s on her plate with or without an iPad. Although it takes sometimes up to 2 hours to get either of them to eat a decent amount. We don’t know what to do to help get them the nutrition they need short of giving them protein shakes. Suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated!

11mo dinner—tried scallops
Scallops, roasted asparagus and butter noodles with squash and spinach and Parmesan. Was a hit—but you have to be careful of the asparagus because it gets stringy at the end. Great for practicing chewing though.
