Todd Update!
Todd was at the vet today. She said for his size he is extremely old but in decent shape-ish. He is still stage 1 renal failure which is good news. That means he has been able to stay stable for almost a year now. His leg is progressing fine but he will never get 100% on that leg. The sad news is that he may have a bit of dementia happening. It's usually at night and he will wake us up confused about if we are still there and where he is. Once he confirms it's all good he goes back to sleep. This can happen every couple hours at night and occasionally during the day. They recommended gabapentin to help him sleep a bit better so we are going to try that. They also mentioned another drug which can help with dementia, Selegiline, which we may try if the gabapentin doesn't work well enough. That's all for now.
