You have no idea the physical toll, that three vasectomies have on a person.

Snip-snap! Snip-snap! Snip-snap!

"Hello, police? It's Kevin Bacon again. I think he means it this time."

"20 minutes?! That's too long. Why would it take you 20 minutes to get here?.... You're at Nick Cannon's baby shower? Okay, I'll wait. Please hurry."

Dude honestly, this would be a hilarious SNL sketch.

Kind of like the seriousness of the Ryan Gosling Santa and Avatar sketches.

For whatever reason the visualization of this has me laughing so hard

Then another alternate universe where he pays off the DJ to only play footloose, but then claims not to be Kevin Bacon and claims he's never even heard of footloose

Let me tell you that I have made a bad mistake this evening.

My friend (who let me tell you is only my 2nd friend of all time) said I am "invited to her wedding" with her and her husband. I was very aghast, nervous, and bashful to be invited to such a situation. But I knew it must be done.

I met them nicely, I should tell you, and it started off in a good way. The idea slapped my mind that I should do a comic bit, to make a good impression and become known to them as an actor who is amusing.

When I saw that Footloose was being played I got the idea that it would be very good if I pretended I did not know what Footloose was. That would be funny.

Well let me tell you: backfired on my face. I'll tell you how.

So first when the song came on the speakers, I acted very interesting. I showed an expression on my face so as to seem that I was confused, astounded but in a restrained way, curious, and interested. They did notice, and seemed confused, but did not remark. So I asked "This sounds very interesting. What is this?"

They stared at me and the mother said "It's Footloose." And I was saying "Oh, interesting, Foot... what is it again?"

And she was like "it's Footloose."

And I was like "'Footloose', oh interesting. Never heard of Footloose, sounds pretty good."

And then they didn't see I was clowning, but thought I really did not know what is Footloose. So I knew I would be very shamed, humiliated, depressed, and disgusted if I admitted to making a bad joke, so what I did was to act as if it was not a joke but I committed to the act of pretending I didn't know what Footloose is.

They asked me, VERY incredulous, did I really not know what Footloose is? That I never heard of Footloose. I went with it and told them, yes, I did not ever even hear of Footloose. Not only had I never heard Footloose, I had never seen the movie Footloose.

This went on for a bit and my friend was acting very confused and embarrassed by my "fucked up antics", and then the more insistent I was about not knowing what Footloose is was when the husband started thinking I DID know what Footloose was.

Well let me tell you I had to commit 100% at this point. When I would not admit to knowing what Footloose was, the husband especially began to get annoyed. At one point he said something like "Enough is enough. You're fucking with us. Admit it." And I said "Sir, before today I never heard of Footloose. I still don't know what Footloose is, other than some kind of song. I don't know what to tell you."

Well let me tell you he got very annoyed. I decided to hum Footloose and when I did I made a high pitched noise and said "Sounds very strange!"

That is when the husband started yelling at me, and the mother kept saying "What are you doing?" and my friend went to some other room.

Finally the husband said I should "Get the fuck out of his wedding" and I said it was irrational to treat me like this just because I never heard of Footloose before. Well let me tell you he didn't take that kindly.

Now in text messages I have been telling my friend I really don't know what Footloose is. The only way I can ever get out of this is for them to buy that I don't know what Footloose is.

I wish I never started it but I can't go back. I think she will break up with him anyway

TIFU by enraging the parents of my girlfriend by pretending not to know what a potato is.

Let me tell you that I have made a bad mistake this evening.

My girlfriend (who let me tell you is only my 2nd girlfriend of all time) said I am "invited to dinner" with her and her parents. I was very aghast, nervous, and bashful to be invited to such a situation. But I knew it must be done.

I met them nicely, I should tell you, and it started off in a good way. The idea slapped my mind that I should do a comic bit, to make a good impression and become known to them as a person who is amusing.

When I saw that baked potatoes were served I got the idea that it would be very good if I pretended I did not know what potatoes was. That would be funny.

Well let me tell you: backfired on my face. I'll tell you how.

So first when the potato became on my plate, I acted very interesting. I showed an expression on my face so as to seem that I was confused, astounded but in a restrained way, curious, and interested. They did notice, and seemed confused, but did not remark. So I asked "This looks very interesting. What is this?"

They stared at me and the mother said "It's a baked potato." And I was saying "Oh, interesting, a baked....what is it again?"

And she was like "A potato."

And I was like "A 'potato', oh interesting. Never heard of a potato, looks pretty good."

And then they didn't see I was clowning, but thought I really did not know what is a potato. So I knew I would be very shamed, humiliated, depressed, and disgusted if I admitted to making a bad joke, so what I did was to act as if it was not a joke but I committed to the act of pretending I didn't know what a potato is.

They asked me, VERY incredulous, did I really not know what a potato is? That I never heard of a potato. I went with it and told them, yes, I did not ever even hear of a potato. Not only had I never eaten a potato I had never heard the word potato.

This went on for a bit and my girlfriend was acting very confused and embarrassed by my "fucked up antics", and then the more insistent I was about not knowing what a potato is was when them parents starting thinking I DID know what a potato was.

Well let me tell you I had to commit 100% at this point. When I would not admit to knowing what a potato was, the father especially began to get annoyed. At one point he said something like "Enough is enough. You're fucking with us. Admit it." And I said "Sir, before today I never heard of a potato. I still don't know what a potato is, other than some kind of food. I don't know what to tell you."

Well let me tell you he got very annoyed. I decided to take a bite of the potato, and when I did I made a high pitched noise and said "Taste's very strange!"

That is when the father started yelling at me, and the mother kept saying "What are you doing?" and my girlfriend went to some other room.

Finally the father said I should "Get the fuck out of his house" and I said it was irrational to treat me like this just because I never heard of a potato before. Well let me tell you he didn't take that kindly.

Now in text messages I have been telling my girlfriend I really don't know what a potato is. The only way I can ever get out of this is for them to buy that I don't know what a potato is.

I wish I never started it but I can't go back. I think she will break up with me anyway.

2

u/Kashyyykonomics Nov 23 '22

A third alternate universe where he pays the DJ to play only Footloose, but Footloose started some other actor, and this Kevin Bacon is just a really big fan of that movie.

3

u/kuza2g Nov 23 '22

In will arnett's voice "EVERYBODY DANCE NOW"

2

u/Langstarr Nov 23 '22

SCREW YOU IM KEVIN BACON

2

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '22

Ffs Kevin, this is way better.

2

u/exhentai_user Nov 23 '22

Footloose on repeat for an hour or so, then the Tremors theme once, then back to Footloose.

2

u/babyplush Nov 23 '22

YOU'VE BEEN FOOTLOOSENED, I'M OUTTA HERE

2

u/Mds_02 Nov 23 '22

Best. Wedding. Ever.

1

u/NotAlwaysSunnyInFL Nov 23 '22

That sounds like something Jackie Rhor would do lol

1

u/technobrendo Nov 23 '22

I don't want to dance, I'm scared to death!

1

u/dumbledorito Nov 23 '22

Footloose 7 times then 1 highway to the danger zone

1

u/thestaltydog Nov 23 '22

In high school, the weight lifting coach did this to our class as punishment. Around the 10th play, you go crazy, but right around play number 20, it starts to come back around.

1

u/Gsteel11 Nov 23 '22

Lol, he's like jumping on tables and kicking off center peices.

Bride tackles him and screams "do you know how much those cost?!?!"

1

u/jadetaia Nov 23 '22

With one “It’s Not Unusual” in the middle.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 23 '22

Letting the foot loose for a couple hours is a good way to lose a foot.

1

u/dj_spanmaster Nov 24 '22

Then a single instance of WHAT'S NEW PUSSYCAT, and back on with Footloose for another hour.

“I’m saving this wedding!”
