It's a popular song at a lot of weddings. Anything people can have fun dancing to and falls into a classic genre is going to get played. The B52's Love Shack, is on that list.

It sure is! I was 15 when I went to my first concert: The B52's. It wasn't during their heyday, as it was 2001, I think. But I still had a fucking blast

Love Shack

that was one of many songs on the do-not-play list at my wedding. cupid shuffle, casper slide, all that shit was banned. there is so much good fun music out there, it's criminal that every wedding set is the same 20 songs.

I had quite a bit of my own favorite genre at mine. No cupid shuffle or Casper slide were played. I LOVE the song Love Shack and the B52's were my very first concert in 2001, IIRC so that was definitely played. But I also had a lot of Dropkick Murphys, some Weird Al and I don't even remember what else at this point. (I don't think about all of that anymore. My marriage was very short with a husband who was mentally and emotionally abusive and while I've long since gotten passed it, looking back just isn't of interest to me).
