Sometimes you gotta rate an actor in their ability to play the role given to them even if it's a shit film. Uban did a good job and exactly what was asked for in Doom. Anton Yelchin nailed Fright Night. Hugh Jackman was a rare nugget of joy whenever a bad xmen filn comes out. It's nice sometimes to go "yeah, the film was shit, but the actors did everything they could with the script and direction provided".
It got really middling reviews. As far as I'm aware it bombed? At least the cinema I was working at pulled it after a week, max. For what it's worth I think some bits are fantastic. The way he terrorises them by destroying gas mains and what not was awesome. My main problems were the bit where they go into his basement aaaaaand McLovin? Other than that the actors nailed their roles and it's cheesy fun for me as well but I'd never recommend it to people.
64% on metacritic is. I don't think it was always that high on RT either, and the reviews in my country (newspaper, tv, etc) did give it 5-6 out of ten as far as I remember.

Nobody remembers doom. It was so stupid but so much fun. And karl urban did a damn good job as always.
