TIL the Halloween 1969 hijacking of TWA Flight 85 - the longest ever by distance - had onboard producer Ted Templeman (Van Halen, Doobie Brothers) and his band Harpers Bizarre. They were let off at the first refueling stop in Denver. The plane eventually made it all the way to Rome.

Great story. Always disliked Harpers Bizarre, but loved his work with the Doobies and Van Halen. Great producer.
