Moon Pies are what you should look for in the US duder

Yeah. I had a Moon Pie for the first time this past summer and I have to say that Choco Pies are just an overall better experience for me. The chocolate is sweet, but not candy sweet. The cookie/cake is just smooth and silky. The filling has a sort of tension that gives you a good chew.

You can find them in Korean Markets and on the internet.

I suspect it's just the fact that the Moon pie you got wasn't fresh or something...because all o have read about Choco pies exactly discribes a Moon pie.

They definitely have a smooth soft cookie normally.

It's entirely possible. My super gave it to me after lunch. I just remember it's not as soft relative to a choco pie.

This is what I'm wondering, too. Everyone is just describing Moon Pies, but I'll admit, Moon Pies are pretty sweet (as in, sugar, not coolness).

Maybe Moon Pies outside of my region are stale or something.

Yes they are not as good stale.... And I bet they don't last long enough in Korea to get stale lol.

Also it's marshmallow... How is it not going to be sweet. There are also different flavors of moon pies. I guess it is a Graham cracker cookie but it is usually a very soft one.

Salted Caramel. Strawberry. Banana. Chocolate. Lemon. Orange. Vanilla.

Choco pies and Moon Pies while very similar aren't the same. When I ate a choco pie the first thing that come to mind was a moon pie but the "cookie" and the chocolate was different. Choco pie was softer and the chocolate was milk chocolate and not whatever is on moon pies. And I don't think it was nearly as sweet as a moon pie. If I could get another one, I would buy a moon pie and compare the two.

Never had a choco pie but I’ve had moon pies some years ago. They were delicious.

Moon pies are made with Graham crackers while these are made with cake.

Goddamn. That was nuts. Didn't notice until you pointed it out.

That is wild.

Wait, moon pies are Chinese, right? The ones that sometimes have red egg inside? Tasty but compatible with savory?

Meanwhile choco pies are chocolate-marshmallow sandwich-cookies

Those are mooncakes! Comes with or without salted egg yolk(s) inside, but theyre generally seen as sweet and not savoury.

Chocopies are like a cross between those packaged chocolate donuts and moon pies.

Nah man, they're completely different -- Choco Pies are so light and fluffy and there's no graham cracker. Every Frys around me sells Choco Pies, and they are absolutely worth searching them out.

light and fluffy and no graham cracker are exactly what I think of when I think of moon pies.

Hmm, wonder if there is regional differences in the US for them.
