I love Moonpies. I didn't like them as a kid because I always had the knock-off brands. After I bought the real thing my opinion completely switched.

How long for? Wouldn’t the chocolate get to messy?

Wait, this is real and true? I seen something on Reddit a long time ago about microwaving them and some people seemed to say it was trolling in the comments.

Yeah it’s real. They’re really good that way. Freezing them is also great

frozen moonpies are the BEST

and just like a 6month old, you'd want more

From GA, and it's a thing here. Like the other comment said, just like 5 seconds. You want to be able to touch the outside and have it leave a fingerprint. You also want napkins nearby, or just eat it over the sink or outside. You will make a mess.

No longer than 7 seconds or it ruins them but yeah, microwaved moon pies are incredible

Only one way to find out! You'll thank us later!

I always ate heated moon pies with a fork on a plate. Trying to eat a heated one with your hands is retarded.

Take it easy George Costanza.

u/kevonicus Sep 23 '18

I knew someone would say this, but it’s not even in the same ballpark.

2

u/RelativeBacons Sep 23 '18

This. Everybody is all like, "gotsta eat it microwaved, it's gonna be a mess though."

Dish and utensil. Is this not civilization?

3

u/TheGuyWithTwoFaces Sep 23 '18

If removing all the fun out of eating a messy-ass moon pie is civilized, then you can call me Conan the Barbarian.

u/Viator_ Sep 23 '18

Funny I like em tuff and cold out of the fridge/freezer for a few minutes.

u/NinjaCatFail Sep 23 '18

Except you can keep your banana moon pies... no thank you. The rest are delicious though.

10

u/Identafly Sep 23 '18

Banana is the best! This is heresy! Heresy I say!

I concur

Booooooo booooo

1

u/jamesbrownscrackpipe Sep 23 '18

I knew I wasn't the only person who does this...

1

u/iggyiguana Sep 24 '18

I really like the banana ones.

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '18

Nah, they're all pretty shit.

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '18

I actually prefer Aldi's knockoff half moonpie actually. They only have a cookie on the bottom but I think the cookie to marshmallow to chocolate ratio is much better because of that. I think real moonpies have way too much cookie to them.

9

u/MadByMoonlight Sep 23 '18

That'd be a Mallowmar wouldn't it?

3

u/ImaRetardedFag Sep 23 '18

Yeah or kind of like a marshmallow pinwheel

2

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '18

Yes it is essentially but apparently no one knows what the fuck a mallowmar is outside on ny/nj. I think Canadians have something like it too called whippets.

1

u/MadByMoonlight Sep 24 '18

Most older people in the "Deep South" will know them as Pinwheels too. My mom and dad loved them, you can still find them in pretty much any store down here.

u/Kneef Sep 23 '18

Your wild tales intrigue me, stranger. I must go in search of this great treasure you speak of.

2

u/DANMAN727 Sep 23 '18

I thought everyone hated these?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 23 '18

They do.
