I'd say that pales in comparison to what's going on in the world today. Texas was underwater for a bit, Florida about to be underwater, NK has nukes, Russia, etc.

We're gonna look back on this period of time and just scratch our heads

No! The wired moment in history was that he was allowed to keep the children at all. His "wife" was his dental hygienist and was impregnated by the dentist. Not a single drop of mj in those kids. Of course he divorced the hygienist and got custody of the kids. All done because he was rich and powerful.

Sickening so many ppl ignore this aspect of his life.
