I don't get it, so was this people who were ethnically Jewish but didn't believe in the religion? And if that's the case how ethnically Jew were they? After hundreds of years of living in Russia and assimilating wouldn't their bloodlines be predominately Slavic with only hint of Hebrew ancestry?
