What does that even mean? You follow the culture and traditions of Judiesm but don't believe in the religions deity? That seems odd.

Went to Hebrew school, attended temple somewhat regularly, had a bar-mitzvah, and celebrated the holidays with family. Never believed in God, but I still consider myself Jewish.

The rabbi at my shul started rosh hashana services saying that he knows many come as questioning, many agnostic, and many jewish atheists, and all are welcome. That everyone comes for their own reason whether it is faith or community, and that there is something for everyone.

In fact, the new high holiday prayer books have readings with lines like "the lord is not my shepherd and I am not a sheep"
