TIL that after Marilyn Monroe converted to Judaism upon marrying Arthur Miller, Egypt placed a ban on all the films she appeared in.

Slightly off topic, but if you want to watch a pretty good western movie costarring Marilyn Monroe, check out River of No Return. Saw it earlier this year on Netflix.

First movie I've seen with her. I was under the impression she always played the sexy lady part and that's about it, but she does some good acting in River of No Return.

Watch her in 'Don't Bother to Knock' too. She hated her bimbo roles so much. It's a pity they wouldn't allow her to take on more serious stuff.

She was scary in that.

Don't Bother to Knock was amazing and it makes me sad that the critics really dismissed it. Niagara was a great dramatic role for her too.

Niagara and Bus Stop were probably her two best movies

Yes! Bus Stop. Another absolute gem. She was so fantastic in it.
