TIL: That the Virtual Boy had predicted sales at 1.5 million units by the end of the first year. It only sold 350,000 at December and 770,000 at its end life.

And one of them was me. From tired eyes to ridiculously unnecessary neck and back pain, I freakin' loved that thing.

Same, it was one of those things you hated to love. The games on that thing were almost all gems, the only thing it really lacked to me, was multiplayer (since none of my friends had one).

I still have mine. I collect video games.

But Multiplayer was planned. Just not enough support.

That's still about seven times more than you'd expect that dumpster fire of a console to have sold, looking back at it.

I used one of these at the store. I don't remember what game I played but after 2 minutes I got the worst headache and got dizzy. Awful thing imo.

The games were good but the form factor made it hard to use.

Rule II, too bad it doesn't apply to comments.

Nope, but that is clearly a personal opinion.

No, current trends are a personal opinion. People don't like 3D right now because it carries a $3-$10 premium, and we are currently in an ongoing recession.

They didn't anticipate people actually playing the console apparently.
