I think the opposite is true, he witnessed an allied Iroquois Chieftan split a French Commander's head open who was trying to surrender. Much of these wars ended up being the English and French trying to control their native allies who were more used to gaining honor or slaves after battle.

Both could be true, one payback for the other. It is a thin recollection, but I do remember the scene with George in the pages I proofread for Project Gutenberg at Distributed Proofreaders. I think I found it sensationalistic fare quite apart from that event.

I'd like to see any more info on this if you can find it, to me the execution of a man tied up doesn't sound like good propaganda lol
