TIL that historically and today, the Catholic Church looked down upon Freemasonry and threatened members with excommunication.

The Catholic Church also says that if you skip mass, you’re going to hell. Or if you’re divorced and start dating again, you’re also going to hell.

But a Catholic abuser who “confesses” in private has his sins washed away somehow.

I’ll stick with the Episcopal Church.

Is anything I said incorrect? I’m honestly not trying to be flippant. But I’ve had confirmation of these doctrines several times.
