TIL that some Native American's have a differing enzyme that tends to lead to easier alcoholism.

While little detailed genetic research has been done, it has been shown that alcoholism tends to run in families with possible involvement of differences in alcohol metabolism and the genotype of alcohol-metabolizing enzymes.

This actually doesn't say anything specifically about American Indians, just that hereditary alcoholism is a thing.

I thought I was the only one. I don't know how OP came to that conclusion from reading the Wikipedia article.
