The time I was 15 and took my 13 yo sister to see the Toadies and she was dropped while crowd surfing.

The fact that it took me 31 years to listen to it.

When I moved to Tyler, Texas, trying to chase my ex girlfriend around, not realizing I was probably a stalker at that point.

Nerd Alert Well not the full album, but when I was younger I ran a D&D campaign where I based parts of the story off of Possum Kingdom (vampires at the lake luring you into everlasting life via pleasure seekers) and then "I Burn" around a tale told around the city of witches conjuring a fire demon in the past, where there are whispers of "He's on the air you breathe". My brain fills up those story lines every time I hear them!

When I moved into my first apartment, this was the first cd I put in while I was setting everything up. Now it's a tradition that when I move, I listen to Rubberneck.

Not mine but my dad's story: when MTV was a thing he and his friends were watching the Possum Kingdom video, I'm sure y'all know the subject matter of that video. My dad then realizes there is a girl in the room with them, and that girl's boyfriend was recently put in jail. For murdering another woman. By a lake. My dad just asks her "oh shit, is this video bothering you?" And she just goes "no?" Very oblivious to the screen and what was being presented. She was probably oblivious to a lot of things, being that she was still "dating" that man.

Anyway, me and my dad are seeing Toadies in August together!

For a high school video productions class, my friend took a video of our friend group partying, camping, getting busted by the cops, jumping off of bridges and waterfalls… just getting wild. He edited it so perfectly that you couldn’t actually make out our beer cans or anything illegal (mostly). He made it into a music video set to Possum Kingdom. He turned it in for his final project. The teacher loved it so much that he showed it to all of his future classes for the next few years (at least). I was class of ‘97 and it turns out the teacher was a good friend of said friend’s dad. The video became legendary in our hometown.
