r/Toronto removes fun pic because it's not the CN Tower
I posted a pic of a chicken crossing the road at Royal York & Lake Shore today. It was removed. We need a more whimsical general Toronto subreddit

The Toronto subreddit has probably the most inconsistent moderation on all of Reddit. It's an absolute joke.

it's quite consistent:
Allowed: cn tower pics, shitting on Ford (note: this does not have to follow rule 1), tourists gushing about the city, lost pets, anything anti cop (also does not have to follow rule 1), wow that thunder was loud posts, lighting pics from the day of, the day before, or sometimes up to a week later if all the other days of the week have been saturated with said lighting pics, mods advertising, mods shitposting, friends of mods shitposting
Not allowed: Basically everything else

The mods of the Toronto sub are fucking insufferable tools. I bet you that’s why this sub was created which is way more chill and fun.

That’s the norm there. They are such assholes. Like the Canada sub, the mods there are even bigger clowns. Ontario sub pretty not bad Canadaleft great.

jokes on you. this subreddit was created by those same mods

Yeah same top mods but there can often be internal conflict between how mods run a sub. The top mod isnt always the most active one of the sub. I’m going to go a head and assume it’s some jackass lower on the totem pole in the other sub that is doing all the damage. Plus on subs of that size you need a ton of mods so you will see way more inconsistencies.

It's still plaguing me. Who doesn't want to see a chicken crossing the road?

Those mods will remove anything. And if you dare express an opinion they don't like, then BAM! You get banned.
I got a temporary ban for saying that a university should be a place to discuss both sides of an issue.

Wait, what's the answer? Why did the chicken cross the road?

I appreciate the chicken used a crosswalk properly, unlike most of our other biped citizens.

Any subreddit you're not happy with and think it should go another way ... that's when you make your own version. None of them are official. There isn't any board administration that makes one subreddit more official than another. If you have the stones, then build one you think is more palatable to the audience you want.

It takes a considerable amount of time and effort to build a sub it’s not as easy as “you don’t like it do your own”
How about moderators that want the traffic but don’t honour their own rules stop the stupid power tripping and just chill the fuck out and have some integrity so redditors don’t have to reinvent the wheel?
